Hard to read
I bought the Taylor oven thermometer to check the accuracy of my oven because I’ve replaced the oven element recently and believed the new element wasn’t up to the job. The Taylor thermometer showed that my oven was definitely under performing by as much as 40 degrees. Another new element has now been fitted and the oven is much better with regard to performance. And the Taylor thermometer proved its worth. There is however a small problem with this thermometer in that the dial is a pale grey colour and is not easy to read without a good torch. Also. after only a few uses the dial has gone even paler in colour though the accuracy remains the same. I can recommend the thermometer as an accurate tool but I would like it even more if the dial was more durable. I like to leave mine inside the oven all the time so discolouration shows that it is deteriorating which is why I have not given it a full 5star rating.

Easy to use and read
I purchased two Taylor Pro Fridge Thermometers for my fridge and my freezer. They appear to work well. The one in the fridge hangs, from a wine-rack style thing built into the fridge, and is easy to read. The one in the freezer sits on the top shelf and does frost up a little at -20°C but remains easy enough to read at a glance. They seems moderately responsive and will slowly change the indicated value after a minute when moved to room temperature. I cannot vouch for their accuracy other than to note that they do indicate temperatures around what I would expect for the fridge (5°C) and freezer (-20°C).

Excellent for cooker temperatures
Absolutely brilliant I wasn’t too sure it would work because it was so cheap so I tried it in all different places in my oven. I’ve had to turn my oven down a little so that I get the right temperature so I’m really pleased with the purchase really easy to use. Yes, I would recommend it.

Don't know how we ever safely used our fridge without it
We bought a new fridge recently and decided to get this to check which setting was going to have the fridge on the correct temperature. This is so easy we just stand it on the shelf close the door then a while later we opened the door looked and the pointer was pointing at the section for 'ref' which is straight up and pale blue if it goes to the right and red we know it is too warm and left and dark blue too cold (we can use it to show the dark blue section in the freezer) . It needs no setting up for those who are not into gadgets and it is idiot proof to understand and read so we were delighted with its simplicity. It does the job it is meant to do no more no less.

Works as expected but not in thinner meats
It's generally easy to use and read but I do find that it seems to give higher readings than expected. Don't try and use it in thinner meats, like a steak, as it needs a good thickness to respond.

Does not work
Rubbish. Fails to provide accurate temperature. Tried in 3 different ovens. Avoid. Can't give 0 stars.
