What is the difference between 25 mile range and 50 mile range?

It really depends on location if you live in the deep burb/rural area they recommend 50 miles within 30 miles of a major city 25 mile range. I started with the 25 mile and it does great you can alway send back and exchange it. This may be a stupid question-do I have to attach it to the window? It says you can hang it on a wall, is this true?

It is important that users learn basic TV antenna science. Its not complicted or hard to learn or apply. Each area where you seek reception is unique. An apartment is different from a single family home. Rural location better than metropolitan city. suburbs often the best. Near a large city but free of metro interferences. The materials of the walls your signal must pass through, objects & signals between your dwelling & TV towers. Climate is a factor. Solar activity is another. I get 20 to 28 channels on one TV 16 to 21 on another at different locations. Factors that affect me are season, day time versus night, climate, temporary activity around me, an over powered CB, a very loud car stereo, thunder, etc. In one room the best spot is an outside wall up high near the roof peak, above set of 3 windows. The other rooms best spot is near the window level with the top of the window frame. For most stations, I get better than Cable TV HD reception, most channels, most of the time. I use $20 Amazon Basics flat/thin antennas fix to wall with HandiTak. Takes trial & error to find sweet spot. Move antenna on width at a time, running channel scan each time, until you find your best result spot. Find no channels? Do not assume your tunner works or works well. Sometimes an outside antenna is neccessary. Its always superior. With outside antennas make sure the horizontal rods are at least the minimum 13 inches long!

If you have a digital TV it connects to the TV Port(the round one) if you have an Anolog Tv then you need a converter box.

can you add an additional coaxial cable to place the antenna in a better reception area away from the tv?

Of course you can. But should you? Absolutely not. Firstly, you lose 1db gain with your joiner. Then, if you use cheap coaxial cable you lose more and more by the foot. if you buy good quad shielded RG6 cable you're still going to lose gain but not as much I hope this helps!
