SeaBear Dungeness Crab Clusters, 2 lbs

Received in cold package.! But potions size was small.

I am a chef and I am from the Pacific Northwest. My grandfather had a fishing boat At the dock, he would trade his line caught salmon for some fresh Dungeness crab. I grew up knowing what a good Dungeness crab is. I now live in Florida. Since it is crab season, I thought I would treat myself and my spouse to a special taste from home. Unfortunately, what I received was very disappointing. The crab legs were small and there were just bits and pieces of shell, which I can only assume was used for “filler“. Given the cost per pound at roughly around $45, I had higher expectations than what I received. At $45 per lb. I should have received the best crab out of the pot. Unfortunately, they were not. On a positive note, the flavor did meet my expectations and instantly took me back to the chilly west coast and salty sea spray afternoons.

I was disappointed in the taste and quality. It was extremely salty and didn’t taste fresh.

Amazing sized pieces - hubby and I made a meal of 1/2 of this order - looking forward to the next 1/2... Formerly from Seattle currently living in Knoxville where seafood is unheard of.

I purchase for a Birthday dinner and the crabs were old and could not be eaten. Tough! I was so disappointed. I have sent a message a day are so after we tried to eat them to no avail. I have yet to hear anything from anyone.

It was great idea my kids thought I was rich lol seafood night at my house it needs way more crab tho too much shrimp

some of it was very good but a lot was not. The cluster part of a Dungeness is the best, with leg meat second so I was disappointed that there were so much dark in the cluster meat and that it was so very fishy and extremely salty and about half was really inedible. The leg meat was good but discarding so much make this not such a good deal. I won't be re-ordering from here. the other part of this whole deal was that it arrived 4 days earlier than expected and was completely thawed but still somewhat cold so it was eaten right away which was not what I had planned. Also, size was not as large as pictured, I would say slightly larger than average but not by much. This is not as good as fresh but what frozen item is, but quality is better than frozen in stores.
