A Cozy Self‑Care Spot for Cats
It’s essentially a little “spa station” for cats, and if your crew enjoys rubbing, grooming, or lounging against textured surfaces, this one earns its keep. It’s one of those toys that doesn’t cause an instant frenzy, but once the cats realize what it’s for, they start incorporating it into their daily routine. It’s especially nice for older cats or mellow loungers who appreciate a good face massage. Younger or more energetic cats may use it in short bursts, but the ones who love tactile stimulation will absolutely claim it as “their spot.”

Undecided...
My wife and I recently went on a Chanukah/Christmas gifting binge for our two cats, a seven year old male Maine Coon mix and a five month old female Russian Blue mix. This was one of their shared presents (and we're thankful the babies get along more than well enough to share). I was initially surprised by how little the package weighed. I was expecting something a little more substantial, and suddenly imagined unpacking a flimsy bit of plastic. However, I was pleased to find a nice enough piece of cat furniture inside. It's definitely lightweight, but not flimsy, and with no sharp plastic seams or other signs of poor manufacturing. Our adult male is a muscular 21 pounds, but the Senses 2.0 base is stays put on carpeting. If you've got a wood or tile floor, you might want to install some flat rubberized feet. The first thing we did after snapping the brushes and gum stimulator into place, was sprinkle ground catnip (a small amount is included) into the central bowl. Both cats took turns ingesting the catnip using their personal techniques, then proceeded to slap each other and roll around, away from the Senses 2.0. We've had this item for three days now. Although both cats have spent a good amount of time just sitting like little gray loaves on it's easily-cleaned green cushion (it seems like a cat magnet in that regard), we've yet to see either of them use its self-grooming:massage features. If it's anything like their "cat condo", these things take time to learn to appreciate. The question is, will either/both cats—who get completely blissed out from being brushed—eventually love brushing themselves? Hopefully I can one day update this review with four or five stars and an answer!

Product High Paws - packing huge fail
I've always found Catit to be a quality, sturdy product and my cats have yet to break or pull apart any item I have gotten for them. This is quite large (check the measurements), but then it has to be so a cat can enjoy it. The green pad/pillow has hook and loop type circles on the bottom so it can stay in place. The plastic is BPA free. The hard green top seems to be a big hit with both cats. I've filled it with the catnip that came taped in the box. The only "con" is that if placed on a non-carpeted floor it will slide around. I put mine on an old yoga mat, a simple fix, took away one star because of that. All my floors are hardwood. Packing: Received this today and I'm surprised at the horrible packing that Amazon did, of course, this is just about par for them now. Not like the good old days when items where placed in sturdy shipping boxes. This box was clearly not meant for shipping. I'm glad that all the pieces where there, but honestly the entire side was open with item slipping out.

Sturdy, yet my cats like the box better.
I bought this for one of our rescue cats (see picture #2) who loves to rub his cheek against the hinge-corner of my glasses. (Adorable, but watch the eye!) The 2.0 came right on time and was safely packaged. One thing to note: it’s big. It will take up a significant amount of floor space in a 10 x 10 room. I’ve attached a photo with a normal-sized candy cane next to it for comparison. My cats are in the 14 lb. range, though, and the one who tried it took up the whole pad, and more. (Not the cat I bought it for, of course.) The pros: Well-built and well-designed. It’s has a lighter weight firm plastic base that is sturdy and I believe it will last. The pad came with four hook-and-loop 1” circles attached and I peeled off the paper backing and they stuck to the base without issue. The pad itself has a crinkle-type nylon covering: I wasn’t as thrilled with that, but I suspect that it’s the longest-lasting material for its use. The darker grey longer “bristles” are also firm and durable. The green snap-on top was what I was hoping my cat would use, again, it’s durable. I suspect the reason why they sell replacements of it has more to do with a human damage. The cons: Even with cat-nip, none of the cats use it. I “introduced” it to my most adventurous cat and he just didn’t get it. He couldn’t get to the nip and although he loves a good head-scratch, he had zero interest. Obviously, this is not the product’s fault, but since it’s $25, I was disappointed—-in my cats! I will edit this if anything changes. The surprise: The original packaging box is decorated with koi and underwater plant life and reads that it is a “treat maze.” There are 3 circles to cut out, two of which are smaller than my cats’ heads. I used a box cutter to knock them out. The cats LOVE it. Toss in a few treats and all three of them focus on it for 20+ minutes. After a few days, I had to reinforce the sides (weight of cats) and the holes have “mysteriously” widened. Still, it was great that the company did that. It can still be recycled and even when the treats are gone, the cats can’t quite tell that and they still actively look, paw, peer, adjust, etc. I thought it was a nice touch by the company.

Not what you're expecting
For the price, I expected this item to be ready-to-use out of the box. Not in terms of assembly, but in that I now am going to have to find a small, plush mat to put under it to keep it stable. The bottom is hollow and not flat/level/flush with the ground. I suppose if you had a medium or high pile carpet it would be a non-issue, but on a hard floor, this thing turns into a loud teeter-totter. The cats obviously want to interact with it, but every time they set foot on it, it rocks, makes a loud noise where it hits the floor, and they get spooked and run off. There's one little rubber-ring - I guess to protect floors or prevent skidding? - under the "bed" portion, but the rest is all warped and made of surprisingly thin but inflexible plastic. I expected the tooth cleaning area to be made of something softer than the hard plastic comprising the rest of this thing, but it isn't. If they were to include a rubber base for this, I would probably change my rating to 3 or 4 stars, but as is, I very much regret this purchase.

Miraculously, the cat LOVES it!
My cat LOVES it! This is a minor miracle. She plays with balls for one minute tops. She's afraid of feathers on strings. She chases the laser pointer for 3 minutes, half-heartedly. But, I sprinkled some catnip on this and within 15 seconds, she was rubbing on it and purring. She stayed at it for 15 minutes and when she had petted herself enough, she laid down beside it. Like a lot of cats she usually likes the box better than the toy. It's always a bit of a chance with cats, yes? She's an only and older cat (15) who is in good health, but has started sleeping longer. I wanted to enrich her environment, but she doesn't take to many things. I'm very happy that this perked her up. The product is well-designed, well-made and well-packaged. It was obviously designed by people who studied cat behaviors. I'm referring to the angles of the surfaces meant for the cat to rub against. Easy to wash. Minor assembly. I would absolutely buy other products from this company. EDIT: Be careful pulling the velcro dots on the cushion off of the sticky tabs. The fabric tore (without much force). I had to hand sew it back on.

Waste of money, useless
Bought this as a gift for my senior cat. She played with it once and hasn’t approached it since. The little mat is crap, and you are only provided a small container of catnip. I don’t recommend. It seems like a useless piece of plastic.

Perfect solution for my cat.
One of my cats, a medium hair tortoiseshell, LOVES to be brushed to the point she would sit in the bathroom and meow and tap me with her paw until I get her brush out of the cabinet and brush her. I use a plastic brush that used to be mine for the shower but she took over. The bristles on that are exactly like the bristles on the gray pads on this. So I thought I would get this to give my arm a rest. :) She loves this. I sprinkled the catnip on the gray pads and in the top of the geen thing on top so she would get on it. Once she rubbed the bristles trying to get the catnip out it was over she doesn't ever get off it now. I put it on the table, though, because she doesn't like to be on the floor. So eventually I will get something else to put it on. It has a rubber ring on the bottom that makes it hard to move without a cat on it and after watching she only uses it while laying on the green pad so with that ring and the cat weight (freddie is probably 15 pounds so large) it hasn't budged from where I put it on the table. I was afraid it might slide off the table when she uses it. The only thing is the pad is not great so I have some extra fabric from all the catbeds I have made so I will replace that. She sleeps on this now too. On another note my other two cats could care less about it. They don't like to be brushed either. So, if you cats have who don't constantly like to be petted, brushed, or cuddle they might not care about this.

Fantastico
Pippa ci sta' tutti o giorni sdraiata.
