Not oily or thick. Provides a good medium hold with a very natural look.

I like it a lot, just note it does give a glossy finish at first, not matte. After the hair gets messed a bit (hours later) it looks better and more natural. Initially it looks a bit like you applied some gel. Good texture and you really only need so little of it to hold well

This stuff is great until I can find a new drug store alternative...I was using Axe Cease Fire but it ceased to exist and I had to find something quick to replace it...I have medium longish hair and needed medium-strong hold without a bunch of shine or goopy wax residue from pomade. This prodcut fits the bill and doesn't require much product to work with. I don't love the price...because at the end of the day this is just some chemical concoction that we all know isn't worth 1/15th of it's retail value. Hate being held hostage by hair product companies but this does work well.

This product exceeds my personal expectations. I've been using L'Oreal 4MAT Pomade for about 5 months now and it makes my super straight hair have texture and body for styling. A couple of months ago my hair stylist asked what type of product I was using because it added a nice texture to my hair, and the next time I was there she had a container of 4MAT, not just for me, but other clients as well. Good product, and not overly priced.

been using this for 10 years now...not found a better matt finish hair styling product. the pump mechanism is the most convenient to use.

This is a great product. I have purchased lots of different hair care products previously but this was the best since introduced by my hairdresser. Its hard to find and not the cheapest but well worth it.
