Love this shirt.
Great shirt. Stylish, comfortable and durable...the trifecta of shirts. Great ventilation keeps shirt cool on a hot day. Highly recommend. I just wish they had a few more good colors and a few less of the pastels.

Good shirt
I work in the jungle in New Guinea and the dark blue shirts my company provides are not great in the weather and humidity. I bought this shirt to replace my work shirt and it is perfect for the environment. It fits well, and is super comfortable. Going to order several more to replace all my work shirts.

Very comfortable.
Some reviews argue for ordering a size smaller. But, since they seem much better suited for warmer climates, I found that a size larger makes for looser fit that is much more comfortable. I ordered several in my size and liked them a great deal, so I ordered, as I said a size larger, and it is a much superior loose fit and feel. They look good anywhere in a cafe or on the trail.

Cut large, subject to abrasion
This is a very comfortable shirt, and versatile as the sleeves can be rolled up like other Columbia shirts. Talking about the sleeves, they are very long. I am 6'1", 200 lbs, 44" chest and 37" waist and the large is way too big, especially in the sleeve length. So like others, I recommend going a size lower on these shirts. I first bought the large size then switched to a better fit with the medium. The fabric is stunning in color and is 100% polyester. I wore this shirt with a point & shoot camera sling over my shoulder for a day touring and noticed abrasion - nappy-ness - on the shirt where the camera strap and case were rubbing. I was able to mostly pull the nappy-ness out by stretching eight ways then washing. So I would not recommend wearing this very long with straps or web-type items that will rub against the material. Washes beautifully and just hangs to dry. Bought two of these on a week long cruise and that was all i needed in shirts. By the way, they came quite creased up from shipping but a quick touch up with a steam iron at low/medium heat was all that was needed to get the creases out and I didn't have to repeat that process after wearing and washing again. Just drip dry and wear and look smart.

Get a size or two smaller than you usually wear
I normally wear mens 2XL shirts, but based on previous experience with these shirts, I ordered size L — it fits well, but a little big around the waist! I've got a Columbia fleece jacket in 2XL size and it's just right in size, so go figger why these shirts run so large.I love these shirts when I'm at Busch Stadium: sunglasses in the small right-side pocket, a Walkman radio (for the color commentary) on the left-hand side, the headphones stowed hooked on the rodholder strap, and a locator map of restaurants & such in one of the deep primary pockets. And the vented back helps me stay comfortable in the sunshine.

Columbia Is Great--Color is Awesome on the Tidewater
First off. The color is too faded on the Light Metal, so I went with Tidewater and it's awesome. There's a fine pattern of horizontal/vertical lines in the material that you can't see online, which is muted/understated and really makes the shirt look classy. I just wish they'd make this color in Nylon, which is a little more durable and easy to care for than the polyester they use. Price is still a little higher than it needs to be, which is my only complaint. Order a size larger, as these run one size small. If you don't, it'll be tight, trust me--I already made that mistake.

Best shirt I ever had!
This shirt is perfect in hot and humid climate. Dries very quickly, fels light to the skin even though soaking wet from rain.
