Then I bought Lost & Gone Forever, and now those two CDs pretty much perform rotation in my boombox and discman all day long. You'd think I'd get tired of them, but not yet! The music is just fantastic. Underneath somewhat dark lyrics, the songs have a lot of energy and power. The vocal harmonies are beautiful, and the drumming will have you rapping your fingers on the table. Every song on this album reels me in.This band has rocketed to #1 among my favorite bands/performers. And I agree with the reviewer who said that fans of all genres enjoy Guster. I've never liked DMB or bands along that theme (some people, accurately or not, put Guster in that category), but Guster just bowls me over. I can't *wait* to hear a live show, I hear it's even better than the official recordings! If you're curious about Guster then try this album, it's very easy on the ears. If you like Guster already, then by god, run out and buy this! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very good *by G***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2009* Not my favorite Guster album--which would be either Keep It Together or Lost and Gone Forever--but it sits nicely as a transition from the earlier, acoustic-guitar-and-congas stuff to the later, more electric and eclectic stuff, and the songs (except Melanie) are all wonderful. I limit it to four stars only because the other two aforementioned collections are so close to perfect.Melanie, the last cut, seems self-indulgent, but it's still an interesting exploration of alternative sounds.All that said, Grin, Airport Song and Demons are worth the price of the purchase. I wouldn't make this your first and only Guster album, but I like them so much I'd recommend getting the whole catalog of studio recordings--and maybe one or two of the concerts.
