I ordered this early for my husband, for Christmas. It is quite beautiful! The touch and feel of the wood is silky and amazing. Beautiful felt on bottom and also inside box. I had chosen the Love Knot design -- Beautiful Love Knot!!! I can't make up my mind whether I sort of prefer the stronger contrast of the wood colors in the photo on Amazon, but I know that each item is unique, and this is still very, very beautiful. A work of art. I may actually like it more than the photo -- but it doesn't matter -- I think it is "supposed to be". Sometimes the universe decides. ;-) I am so delighted this artist (his name is Randy West) decided to sell on Amazon. I may not have discovered him otherwise. So I feel very lucky. Hopefully more people will discover him and his beautiful art. Actually, I forget how I came across this item, but it was quite by accident while I was shopping (early-ish) for Christmas presents for my husband. This just seemed perfect in so many ways. We will have to wait until Christmas to see what he thinks, he-heh. I will encourage him to post an addition review at that time from his point of view. And I love the personal touch Randy gives his product -- from the note inside it to the follow-up email. My husband is an artist as well (painting in oil, watercolor, etc., and taught ceramics in Junior High School, and silkscreen, and more) so I know he will appreciate this charming box in ways others may not even begin to understand (though they will know they appreciate it). A wonderful history was provided as well.

I found this after a long search for a small box to use as a container for some cash that I planned to give my grandson for a wedding gift. The Celtic Knot....or love knot....was the perfect design for the occasion so I ordered this box. When it arrived I was thrilled at the craftsmanship and true artistry displayed in it.... it was several different types of wood that were inlaid to create the design and a nicely printed card explained what types of wood were used and also had a definition of the Celtic Knot. I was completely satisfied with this astonishingly beautiful little box....it was PERFECT!!! Later I received a thank you card from the artist who created it....very, very unusual in today's world and very appreciated. I am trying to find reasons to purchase another one....I will purchase again for sure. The wedding is this weekend and I can't wait for the bride and groom to see this beautiful little jewel!

We bought this for our daughter-in-law for her graduation from nursing school. My son buys her a lot of nice jewelry but she didn't have a nice jewelry box. She loved it. It is beautiful and very well made. A true work of art and well worth the cost. It is large enough for my son to fill over the years. We are so glad we bought this for her.

I have to agree with a previous reviewer. The box is absolutely beautiful, but I was under the impression it was going to be a little larger. This is the only reason i give it the 4 stars instead of 5. It still serves the purpose and I'm VERY pleased with the quality, the craftsmanship, and the speed of delivery.

I bought this as part of my wife’s 5th wedding anniversary gift and she absolutely loved it. It’s the perfect size to hold bracelets and rings. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent and I couldn’t be happier. Something worth noting — I was all the more pleased to receive a handwritten thank you card for making my purchase. I’m a Colorado native myself — and receiving that card reminded me of the folks back home where I grew up. You don’t see that very often anymore. I had a variety of stuff that I shoved into an old coffee mug (TV remote, nail file, cat laser, eyeglass cleaning cloth, etc) on my end table. I decided I needed an upgrade, so went looking for a box that would hide my stuff and not look so crummy. I looked at a variety of boxes online that would be small enough to not take over the end table but big enough to hold my things and found this. I gotta tell you, it really classes the place up! While the price was higher than some of the others, the quality is amazing and the craftsmanship is beautiful! I can highly recommend. I think it would make a lovely gift as well.

I don’t often take the time to comment on things I’ve ordered. However, this wood box is exceptional. I received the boxes I've ordered from this company quickly, the same week they were ordered. The personal touches, and the workmanship of the box are extraordinary! The design with the celtic knot was perfect. I ordered it to hold a very special cross necklace for a new grandson that was fashioned by a friend. The parents of the little boy had tears. These boxes are pieces to be enjoyed throughout the generations!
