I've had to swap my capacitor a few times over years of home ownership. This one swapped in easily and did exactly what it is supposed to do. Would recommend

Worked fine, but only lasted about 5 years. This is about half the price of anything I was able to find locally, so it's an inexpensive fix. However, I had to replace it again after just 5 years, which is on the very low end of "acceptable" life spans for an HVAC capacitor. That said, a $15 capacitor that lasts 5 years is better than a $35 capacitor that lasts 10 I suppose. It connects easily and works fine, just be aware it may not last all that long and maybe order two so you have a backup on hand.

This capacitor is a good quality replacement and should last around 3 years ( in Houston where the AC is high usage ).Always keep a spare for each unit you have. An AC company will charge around $300 to come out and replace one which takes all of 15 minutes.

Our AC went and for about 2 weeks I tried looking for this part in the closest cities. Every hvac guy said they’d have to install so my husband and I watched a lot of YouTube videos and came down to the conclusion it was this part we needed to replace. Took my husband 5 mins to hook it up and boom our ac works. Just in time for the 37 degree heat wave that was forecasted for that weekend!

I purchased this capacitor as an in-place replacement for the old GE part #97F9834 and it was a breeze to install. The geometry is exactly right and it works as expected. The shipping time was longer as it ships from the US but the price and the quality (I hope) were worth the wait. For such a price I am willing to keep another capacitor on the shelf just in case of an urgent need.

Central Airs tend to stop working when it is the hottest outside. Ours did when it was over 100 degrees. It only took my son and I 15 minutes to remove the defective AC capacitor and reinstall this one and our AC was up and running again. Not all capacitors are the same so check your capacitor ratings to make sure you order the correct capacitance. I always keep a spare capacitor on hand and it paid off big time.
