I love this book and all the other ones in the seires I think This book is spectacular 😉 !

Getting my child to read is not always easy — I usually have to remind and push a bit. But with this series, it’s different. He takes the book himself, sits down, and reads without any pressure. Even more, he asks me to buy the next books in the series — and that says a lot. I’m really grateful to the author for creating books that genuinely spark interest in reading. I work at a school, and I see the same thing with other kids: during free time, some of them choose these books to read instead of playing. That speaks for itself. If your child doesn’t like reading or needs motivation, this series can really help build that interest. Highly recommended.

This one is very funny and hilarious, I could never believe a kid who is so self absorbed like this kid and the mother ? She wants to believe her kid is special or gifted but I think she is kidding herself. Rowley and the pig are also great segments in the book. This is a great book to read over and over again. Too bad the stars of the Wimpy Kid movies can't adapt this book but maybe a reboot with a new cast ?

I am always a happy camper when ordering from Amazon! They never let me down. We pre-ordered the book during the Summer and it arrived the day of it's release. People don't notice the small stuff but I do. As I took the book out of the package I noticed the book has a smooth texture on the front cover. The book cover in general has a smooth grip- like texture, lol. I always love the smell of a new book but the smooth outside texture of the book adds a good feature to the book. The book has comic like pictures, but don't think it's a comic strip type book overall. It is a well worded book from the first page to the last page (217 pages overall) each page has a complete word filled page but the pictures adds to the imagination of the child reading this book. My son started reading this book series at 8. He's now 10 and he LOVES this book series so much he looks forward to the new books that come out and every once in a while re-reads the older book series. We even have family movie nights and I don't mind watching the couple movies that have been made from the "Diary of A Whimpy Kid" book series. I'm 32 and I find parts of the movie hillarious so I can only imagine reading this book as a kid. I can't say enough good things about this book or any other book from the series. If you're a parent like me, you'd rather watch your child read VS. Playing video games or watching TV programs. At least while reading it engages a child's imagination as well as improving their spelling. Some studies has shown that kids, especially those that are more visual learners, spelling improves the more they read. :) I will be on the lookout for more books by this same Author (Jeff Kinney). Don't hesitate to buy the book for your child (ren). I took a glimpse of a few pages already while my son is still at school and it's pretty funny! Ha ha ha. I posted some pictures for previewing. :-D

Let me start by saying that I haven't read this book, but I don't need to in order to rate it this highly. My son is the epitome of a reluctant reader. He even openly jokes about it, "Me read a book? What am I? In the 17th century?!" That being said, he is a Sophomore in HIGH SCHOOL and, although he wouldn't admit it to anyone outside our family, digested this book in a matter of hours! This series has been a Christmas tradition since my son was in elementary school. He looks for the Wimpy Kid book under the tree, and I'd hate to see his face if Jeff Kinney didn't write a new one every year. So many other Christmas traditions he's told us that he's "too old" for, but not this one. And with so many other gifts under the tree, he still sat on the couch on Christmas day and didn't stop reading the book until he had finished it! He reported that this one was excellent - and in true teenage fashion, gave me absolutely no details as to why. There is some power in these books that make them less intimidating to the reluctant reader. I believe it's due in part that the illustrations are as much a part of the story as the words, chapters are short and tight, and the stories are relatable and gripping. I'm sure, if Mr Kinney is still writing them, my son will want these books under the tree every Christmas well into adulthood!

My kid likes this book. We bought a few other wimpy kid stories in Jarir, but it's 45 per piece. Amazon, obviously, has better price.
