I use it almost every day. There have been a number of reviews about spotting on the bottom of the kettle, but I haven't noticed that. I do make sure there is always some water left in it after using it so the heat doesn't burn off the rest of the moisture, so that may be why, but I can't say for sure. The noise is about average for electric kettles. The cord seems to be around 18". Pros: It looks really classy, much nicer than most electric kettles. It is easy to put on and take off the base, and feels really sturdy on it. It doesn't drip when pouring it. This is a huge issue I've encountered with electric kettles in the past. Keep warm function. This is really cool to have. I've only ever used it once, but some people may use it all the time Cons: The "buttons" the hold the lid in place get stuck in easily. When I first got it I pushed one of them just to see how strong the pushback was and now it will be forever lost within the lid. That being said, having one less button hasn't affected the lid's ability to stay closed when pouring. So no problems with functionality, just frustrating. There is no button to open the lid. My previous kettles all had buttons to press to pop the lid open, which was incredibly convenient. This kettle doesn't have that, but it has an indented handle on the top that makes it easy to open. The lid doesn't stick open. This has been my biggest frustration with this kettle. Once you open the lid, all you have to do is tilt the kettle a little bit to make the lid flopped closed again. This is very annoying when filling the kettle.
