Excellent phone set
I purchased this phone for my mother who has hearing and eyesight difficulties. The large numbers and display, plus the very loud ringing are a godsend. The best part of all is the sound-booster button on the side of both handsets, my mother says she can clearly hear the person speaking when the booster is activated. Great phone.

Works well for hard of hearing
Excellent for elderly, hard of hearing amplifies very well, a little difficult to set up if not tech savvy. Not the cheapest but does the job, clear buttons but can be a bit tricky to remember what to press when activating the volume boost. Not disappointed with purchase.

My experience
Very difficult to set up due to extremely cryptic instructions. Simple tasks e.g clearing messages are way beyond me. Amplification for hard of hearing is very strange - settings appear to be normal and too loud

Works reasonably well for MODERATE hearing loss
The handset is quite large and heavy compared to other cordless phones ive had and will take some getting used to. The maximum volume ie no.6 is no different to a normal phone. Having said that, not yet used the Boost feature but dont think i should need to since i only have MODERATE hearing loss, so i feel it should work well without fiddling around with the Boost button. it has taken me three days to rectify the annoying blinking of the Call Counter on the A/Mce LED.It would constantly blink even though ive got no messages! Others have posted the same issue and to get rid of the blinking light i followed instructions from a previous post ie you have to make 2 calls going through to the A/Mce, then delete one of the messages, then press and hold on the PLAY button. You have to be left with 1 message in order that the light stops blinking. Obviously, its a manufacturing fault from Geemarc!!Shouldnt have to do all that to stop it. There is a Tone button (on side of the handset. This is its best feature for me as i can adjust the bass and treble of the callers voice but would have welcomed more control. I tried using my hearing aids (both NHS and Private in the ear ones!) and switched them to Loop settings. However, ive not been able to connect them to the phone, so no point in wearing them..... unless i have to do something within the phone settings??? Instructions dont mention this. All in all, an expensive phone and i find it disappointing. Sorry Geemarc, i expected more from a company who specializes in Hearing impaired technology.
