Angel Wisdom Tarot: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook

I really love how Radleigh Valentine kept the traditional symbolism of Tarot with the meaning behind the symbolism. For Example, The swords 🗡 cups 🏆 wands/rods 🔱 and pentacles/coins/disks 🔵 are still depicted in the artwork but for those who are beginners of the Tarot, there are symbols of the elements in the top right hand corners: (I know these are not the same as what is in the actual deck but for my review purposes) swords 🗡 = 🌬(Air), Cups 🏆=💧(water), wands/rods 🔱=🔥(fire), pentacles/coins/disks 🔵=🍃(earth). This keeps it simple for both the advanced and novice readers. Now, this is where the purpose of the cards comes into play: if you look on the bottom left and right-hand corners of the minor arcana cards you find a letter or letters and a Roman numeral to aid you in working through the energy aspects of a particular card. For instance, I happened to draw the 3 of Air or swords, which is a card of sorrow but at the bottom of this card is the letters AZ on the bottom left-hand corner and the Roman numerals XIII. The AZ is for the Archangel Azrael who assists with grievances of the heart and comforts us when we need it and in the bottom right-hand corner we have the Roman numerals XIII for the Release card (traditionally the death/rebirth card) but in Angel Tarot the traditional death card has been replaced with release. The cool thing is you will find this Archangel in both of the artwork of the cards and he looks exactly the same but in the Release card he is standing in a field of white roses with arms wide open. The artwork is amazing and does not appear to be a bunch of photoshopped and click and paste art like the decks of the past especially the Archangel Power deck which in my opinion is not my personal favorite because of the artwork and the odd symbolism. Everything in this deck is packed with intuitive symbolism that you can easily pick up on the moment you begin to work with it. It is very well done 👍 and I am very pleased with my purchase. Bravo 👏 Radleigh Valentine!!! First I will say that this review is long because I wish I’d known what I’m going to tell you before I bought these. Had I known, I would have waited until I had the time to really dive into and study these cards. If you know all the Angels and you are fairly versed in tarot, I think you will enjoy these very much. If you’d like to know the Angels and you are working to identify with your tarot, you’ll enjoy these. They are color coded by suits and Major Arcana, which can be helpful I suppose because these cards are not immediately obvious to be one suit or another. The Major Arcana has the name at the top of each card which doesn’t follow the Rider Waite deck if that is what you are used to. It does give you the number in the bottom right corner so, if you know the number of the cards in the Major Arcana, you’ll not have problems figuring out which card is which. For instance The Fool is called The Dreamer in this deck. Also, in the bottom left corner are some letters that represent the Angel for that card. Not all cards are different like that, but several are. In the Minor Arcana, there aren’t necessarily Cups on all the cards of that suit. What they do have in the upper right corner is a symbol that tells you it is water which is the element associated with cups. The same with all 4 suites, just look in the right upper corner for the element and as I said, they are color coded by suits. The guidebook gives you all the information you need about which letters represent which Angel that is meant for the cards in the Major Arcana. The guidebook also gives you the Celtic spread and in detail, which each placement means. It’s a very thorough book almost as if it is required reading which Valentine alludes to in the guidebook. These cards are not hard for me to handle, but they are larger than many decks. They are matte and yet very slick which makes them a bit difficult to do certain shuffles. They are actually beautiful cards that can be read intuitively quite easily and it is suggested in the guidebook that you use intuition along with the book. That’s how far I got before I realized this is a deck to be studied as if you were taking a course. As I said at the first of this, I wish I’d known the information I’ve given you. I hope it helps you make a informed decision about this deck. I do not mean in any way to say not to get this wonderful deck! Just know that the author has a certain way he sees this deck to be read. I, for one, think when an author is this detailed about his/her deck, they’ve been touched by Spirit to know how it should be read. I hope I’ve helped.

I had to comment on this deck. I have been buying deck after deck, desperately longing for “the ONE” that resonates and speaks to me. The deck that was going to make me feel some type of way. As soon as I held this deck in my hands, I felt like I’d seen an old friend. I never really liked an empress card but the one in this deck is holding a purple baby unicorn! Made me feel joy. And the suit of cups has mermaids! What more can a girl ask for? The kid depicted on every Ace, grows into the Page and then into the Queen or King in that suit. Every single picture on this deck is easy on the eyes. I had bought an Angel deck before by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine but it was too busy for my taste and level of expertise. The images on this deck are so easy and down to earth and modern mostly. You can see the expressions perfectly. Images are so clear. Characters look real to me. The card stock is a matte, silky smooth finish that shuffles easy. Not like the shiny glossy ones that feel magnetized to each other. I like this deck very much!

Finally, Radleigh Valentine brings us the greatest of all his angel tarot decks, with a whole new system that can be as simple or as complex as you like. Numerology, astrology, traditional tarot packaged for OUR century with the same safe and pleasant images we have come to expect from Radleigh are all part of this magical new tool that helps us communicate with the Archangels and with the Divine. The magic of this deck is in the way, as the book explains, the cards are filled with hope, and inspire that hope as we grow back toward Source through life experiences. The angels are there every step of the way on these gorgeous new (matte, by the way!) cards. Dan Craig's art is amazing. The system change I love most is the way Radleigh has a numeric association for the Minor Arcana cards referring each card back to its associative card in the Major Arcana; this keeps you mindful of the round way of tarot as it cycles through major events and more everyday ones together. Also, the cards have a reference to a specific angel, so that you know the predominant energy of the card and which angel is standing by ready to illuminate its meaning. This is a long and rambling post, but this deck is simply amazing, unlike anything Radleigh has given us before, and is now my favorite and foremost angel tarot deck.

Cards imbued with positive energy are very easy to interpret and highly practical to use.

I really like the ease with which this deck shuffles (nice matte finish) and the layout of the info on the cards, including the color coding for different elements. I also like the modernization of some of the major arcana cards. (See pics) and I also like that the figures are representative of a larger swath of humanity than one often sees in decks (e.g. different ethnicities, ages, atypically mobile, etc.). I am not as happy with the fact that the cards in the deck came warped, even though the deck was brand new. And the card stock makes the size of this 78 card deck a bit unwieldy, even for my larger than many womens’ hands. (See pics comparing with 2 other 78 card decks)

Spectacular deck! Beautiful imagery; generous, detailed book. The reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is: The card stock is literally cardboard-ish. The cards & book have the most HORRIBLE physically aggravating, noxious chemical smell!!! I had to spray the box, cards & book.... hoping it will eventually diminish the assaulting chemical vapors! (Be careful not to breathe in these vapors for too long). I'm having a reaction to the chemical vapors on the cards & the book! And the smell clings to hands as well!!! The publishers should cease & desist use of the chemical compounds used to print the cards & book! Second..... The author claims to offer a gift for purchasing the deck...... It's a marketing gimmick to get your email account for marketing promotionals. The "free gift" is an expired angel tarot course that was conducted last year & no longer applicable. Amazon responded immediately!!! Sent me a mailing label to return the defective deck & made an immediate refund so I could order a replacement swiftly! Thank God, the replacement (of the same deck) doesn't have that awful, noxious chemical smell. Thanks Amazon, for responding so swiftly. Great customer service response!

These are the best and my most favourite tarot cards!!! I bought other tarot and oracle cards but these are the only ones which connect with me on a soul level. Never felt such connection with any other cards. Also I can sense so much positive and happy energy coming out of these cards. Thank you so much for whoever created these cards and sharing your lovely energy with the world. The art work is absolutely gorgeous!!! I feel these cards are made with lots of love and purity!!! These cards will forever be my favourites!!!

Deck muito bonito,fosco,cartas explicativas. Comprei numa promoção ,demorou muito a chegar e,quando veio,nota-se que a embalagem que envolvia a caixa foi tirada,as cartas estavam soltas,sem a fita que as prendem e fora de ordem.Tive que conferir cada naipe para ver se estava completo.Estranhei muito,porque geralmente as entregas da Amazon até aqui,traziam os produtos em embalagens invioláveis. A minha queixa é somente essa,no mais o deck é lindo e tem uma conexão angelical perfeita .

Appena arrivate! Carte dei tarocchi assolutamente meravigliose per immagini, colori, dimensioni maxi (adoro le carte grandi) doppio utilizzo: tarocchi & oracolo. E che dire dei tempi di consegna? Imbattibili!!! Con prime sono arrivate non solo all'anti vigilia di Natale, ma in una manciata di ore, 12 o forse meno! Non sono plastificate, ma del resto non si evinceva da nessuna parte che lo fossero. Sono di buon cartoncino, flessibili e di media consistenza. I really loved those cards. They are big, good print and paper quality (not too thin), beautiful pictures and it's really great to have the short summary message of the meaning of the cards on it, that really helps. On top, they come in a nice hard box, including a small card explanation booklet. I am very happy with this purchase, high value for the price, I really recommend them!
