Fun quick version of Catan. This plays in less than 30 minutes and is super easy to learn and teach. If you like Catan or liked it in the past this is a fun little game. It’s also a great way to introduce Catan to others who have never played.

This was a really fun game! My family loves the original Settlers of Catan but sometimes we don’t have the time to set it up and play a whole round. This was a fun quick game with the same theme, though it really doesn’t take very much strategy and seems rely a lot on luck. It’s nice that you can throw it in a bag and play on the go, which is really hard to do with the original game.

Fun choice for Catan players when you want a faster play substitute. Plays similar to Farkle. Easy to learn.

I bought this to play with the kids as we have just gotten into the full board game. It was so cheap, I got it mostly for the novelty but it has turned out to be a lot of fun. It would be a perfect item to take on vacation or if you’re just looking to kill a half hour at home. If you have that Catan itch but don’t have a few hours available, this is a fun alternative. I’m a bit perplexed by some of the negative reviews calling out the game as being overly simplistic. Obviously this isn’t going to be a one-for-one replacement for the full game but what were you expecting for a dice game that cost you six bucks? Yes, a lot of this game is dependent on luck but there is also room for some strategic decision making and elements of risk taking involved. I’m giving this four stars though because you do have a finite amount of game sheets to use and as far as I can tell there’s no way to order replacement pads. Granted, it’s not like it would be that costly to buy the whole game all over again but then I have a bunch of extra dice that I don’t need. I would have been willing to spend a few dollars more if the game just came with four permanent game cards that you could use a dry erase marker on. As it is, I laminated some of the game sheets with packing tape so we don’t run out. It would also be nice if the game came in a box that we could use for storage.

Fun and easy to take with you while you travel. Nice twist on the actual game and it's great having 2 options of game play.

This is a great travel game and also a great way to learn the game from a "short" stand point before you are ready to play the actual game which is long. It is easy to follow, the directions are clear and easy to follow and if you play with someone else who has played before, that's even better.

Easy to learn! Seniors game day was a success. At our age we are looking for fun ways to stimulate our brains. This game gave us the perfect challenge and fun we wanted. similar to other dice games it has an element of chance coupled with strategy. Everything is clearly on the individual score sheets as a reminder so no one feels like they are unable to participate. I love the actual board game myself but this version was perfect for those who were frustrated learning play before. Now we all like playing Catan.

Fun, quick, and portable, we've had loads of fun with this game, especially considering the low price point.

This is a great, simple dice game! If you've played Catan before, the majority of the game mechanics are the same, just a dice version. I like the two sides of the paper with the two different games. 2-in-1

I bought this for a 12yo child to play on a family road trip. Overall it's pretty good. It's a decent introduction to the Catan family of games. It's well-suited to a quick play, say while waiting for a meal. It is easy to learn and the instructions are pretty clear. There is some strategy to the game, but it hasn't grabbed my son's interest as much as I would have hoped.
