One of the best Manga around!
What can I say about this collection? The box is sturdy and beautiful to look at, the actual series is one of the best Manga available with likable and engrossing characters, great action, overall coherent world-building and I think also a satisfactory ending (some think that there were still some loose ends at the end, but personally I think that they either had a forgone conclusion, like the issue of remaining Yomas, or didn't really need further exposition, like the other continent business where I think the Claymores have little reason to interfere at all unless forced to). The collection also comes with an art book, which is always nice (I can't believe some of that art was actually cover-material, and I mean in a good way). Furthermore this collection is also a convenient way for a newcomer to catch up with the series: each volume costs around 10 dollars and there are 27 of them, meaning that hunting down each individual book might cost up to 270 dollars, while the collection currently costs much less than that while also offering a nice box and an art book. And it's complete! From beginning to end, the whole series. I'd suggest this series to any manga appreciator, especially people who liked Berserk (as both Claymore and Berserk share a dark fantasy setting with a love for depressive and tragic backstories), people who like more mature themed and somewhat violent manga (although violence is not really central, obviously there's a lot of violence but it's nothing I would call too graphic or gore-y) and people who after having watched the Claymore anime want to see how the story truly progressed after Pieta and truly ended (because the anime ending is really just an alternate ending made up on the spot to give that series some kind of conclusion, the manga was nowhere near finished back then so it was either that or no conclusion at all). And obviously also people who like badass women carrying giant swords!

Start to Finish Claymore in Perfect Form
Claymore is a triumph of storytelling. This manga set is start to finish. If you, like I, were left hanging by the anime, this is how you finish the story. Epic box, quality manga, exceptional story. Treat yourself to this one!

Speechlessly Good
Thoughts on the Box Set: The volumes were all there, the case was gorgeous, and everything looked new. Also, there's an art book, which is absolutely breathtaking! Not much else to say -- great quality all around. Thoughts on the Manga: People often talk of Claymore as Berserk's little sister, but that's only because both manga are in a fantasy setting and feature characters with big swords fighting monsters. Claymore is it's own experience, and what an amazing experience it is. What makes Claymore great isn't character development. In fact, the characters don't develop all that much. Instead, it's the comparison of different characters that stand for different things that makes the story so great, as well as how these characters deal with their harsh realities. In that sense, Claymore reminds me more of Tokyo Ghoul than of Berserk. Characters are thrown into a chaotic world, and instead of "developing", they live and die by their flaws and virtues. The line between what is "right" and "wrong" is often blurred, and the manga really does a great job in exploring the meaning and value of being human. It is a seinen, so it's for adults. 10/10.

Strong Female Warriors Defeat Monsters WITHOUT Unnecessary Fanservice
The greatest manga series I’ve ever read. I couldn’t believe it when I saw they had the whole collection in one beautiful box. I loved it so much I bought one for myself and one for a friend so they could enjoy it as much as I did!! I don’t want to spoil anything in this review, however I’ll just give a broad synopsis of the story. The story focuses on humans and fierce creatures/monsters called yoma that prey on humans. Unfortunately for humanity, they have no way of fighting these creatures, which brings us to the Silver Eyed Witches, the Claymore. These fierce female warriors are not exactly human, and not exactly monster either. Somewhere in between, these beguiled warriors are humanity’s only hope of survival. Not everything is what it seems, and not everyone is as they appear to be. My favorite part of the story is that the female warriors were never overly sexualized. They didn’t wear skimpy bikinis or parade around nearly naked. They are all strong, independent, and very capable fighters who happen to also be women. If you want a story with strong female leads, climatic battles, and a captivating story with monsters, look no farther. Claymore has it all and some.

Had to buy 2 because the first one I got’s plastic seal was damaged to the point that it was falling off and for the price and future collection, I wanted one that was in pristine condition. So after returning the first one and reading the second I can say that I love the story so far. I’m still not done but the characters are amazing (except for Raki). I love the way the story is progressing and even though the pace is kinda wacky in the beginning, it looks like it’s fixed itself up, and I hope the ending is just as good. Might even come back and give it a better review if the ending is good Highly recommend Edit: I finished it about a week ago and i still think about it every day. It’s sooooo good. The ending was perfect, everything made sense at the end, still wasn’t a fan of Raki, and I wish the ending was longer. After the finale, you see what everyone’s doing now, but only for like 2 panels each. My only wish is that the ending showed more panels for each characters ending. Other than that the story was beautiful, pacing was still a bit fast, and it seemed like every strong character was getting killed off by everyone except the main characters, so the fights weren’t as cool. But art, story, and the read was awesome
