These are great for the price. For me they are the perfect size, just enough showing. I never figured out how to use these to hold my hair up so I just use bobby pins and tuck these in as a decoration. I wish there was the option of getting two of the same.

Very nice pins they look great. But I'm very disappointed as they won't work for my thick hair. They are smooth and the hair slips and won't hold. They are also shorter than I expected. Might work for someone with thin hair.

These are beautiful and well-made. When I first tried to use them, my hair kept falling loose and the pin fell out. I almost gave up. I watched the video, but my hair isn't as long as the model's and I didn't notice that the pin has to be inserted on the opposite side and then, "flipped" over to the opposite side when you're pushing it through. Took me a few tries, but this made all of the difference for me. My hair looks a lot more finished and elegant than putting up in a ponytail or using a barrette...and it doesn't get damaged. Bonus!

I was excited to get these pins and then very disappointed when I got them. The ends are so close together I can’t get them in my hair, i tried to stretch them a bit without any luck. Really not worth the time to return

I have successfully used hair forks throughout the years. My hair is long (bra strap length). These forks are way too short to secure a bun. They look like they will work from the pictures, but when you see them in person, they are too small. I have taken a picture of it next to my favorite hair fork. (I bought the red one in the 90s...and I dislike the color, but it has amazing holding power.) For this to work, it needs to be longer than your bun. Maybe if you have less hair, it will work, but not for me. (My bun is about the size of the one you see in the product shot.)

I have similar plastic pins and was looking for something more elegant looking. These are great! They’re sturdy, so they hold the hair but do not pull too much because they’re not heavy(half of the times I even forget they’re there). I think the matte coating helps too, cause they’re not slippery. The only downside is that the coating chips and scratches(they actually arrived with some defects), but it doesn’t matter for me - when the pin is in the hair- only a tiny part is visible- so it’s impossible to tell if there’s a scratch somewhere. So even if they will all get scratched with use - the updo will still look awesome.
