Who doesn’t love a good step riser!?! But who has room for that thing at home? This square step with 4 risers is PERFECT for home use. I use it for glutes, lunges, abs, uneven squats, elevated leg pushups, all kinds of things! And when not in use, it has a small enough footprint to sit under the miscellaneous basket for band, balls, workout journal, etc. The step and riser are gym level quality, so they are stable, sturdy, and easy to use and clean. I feel totally safe using them and they look great.

Some of the reviews for this product say it isn't very sturdy but I don't find that to be true. I feel very safe stepping onto it. I'm short and about 130 lbs so maybe if you are a larger person it wouldn't be as sturdy but it works great for me. I like that it doesn't take up as much room as some of the other steppers do and it's easy to move around. It's perfect for what I needed. Very happy with my purchase so far.

Before I'd bought this, I had gotten the wider step by the same company. I love that one. I later decided to buy this one as well. It's nice that I can stack the risers for both steps together to save space. It works great for step up exercises, but I've also used it as a seat and as an impromptu step stool. It has the same quality and sturdiness of the larger step. I love the rubbery top which seems like it would be more comfortable than the ribbed top that other brands have, especially since I often use it barefoot.

SYNOPSIS: The step has 5 levels, can raise to 12" or 1 foot, giving flexibility of whatever exercise you want to do. The color is good, and the whole step seems pretty durable. At first I was apprehensive thinking the different steps would not sit tightly together and it would be unsafe. But, so far I have had no issues and i've had this for over a month. This step works great, I have been able to use this in other situations around the house for changing lightbulbs and reaching higher things that just need a little lift. SIZE: 12 inches high max RISERS: 4 Risers not including the top gray portion COLOR: Gray, light gray top, black risers DURABILITY: Very strong, I am 170lbs and it holds me no issues. The top has a non-skid plastic that really helps to get traction. OVERALL: Would buy again if i needed another step, this one works great. Changing out the risers is very easy, everything just sits on itself. And it supports a lot of weight.

If you do Cathe Friedrich or the classic (80s - mid 90s) FIRM workouts, this step does the job for the high-step exercises as well as act as a stool for the sitting exercises. It's not for the classic step aerobic workouts where you need a wider step to perform some of the moves (like the classic "V step"), but it is wide enough for basic "up-down" step exercises. The step is sturdy overall, but as other posters have mentioned, you have to be really careful with not putting your feet on the edge of the step because it can topple. The packaging was excellent as well - no extra frills, which made the box easier to handle. I just opened the box, and I was able to pull out the fully-assembled step. The reason why I took away one star - the only thing is that the first bullet in the description needs to be changed or reworded. The step is only 12-inches high at its highest, not 14-inches. That said, if you need a 14-inch step, you can easily purchase risers or use risers from other "The Step"-brand equipment to get the 14+ inches. Amazon does sell the additional risers.

This step has turned out to be multifunctional. I use it to help strengthen my balance, simple cardio workouts, And as a step stool around the house. Got to love the multi-use. It's a well-made quality product that I think will last a very long time. I would buy this again or gift it to someone. And it was such a great price too!

I love this stepper. I recently went through physical therapy and chose this piece of equipment to continue my exercises at home. It is fantastic. I can adjust the height for different exercises. The top piece has a non slip surface that is great. I highly recommend this product.
