Can fix wide opening and slightly off instructions
Fixed, that holder was a little wide, by putting in (pink thing in photo) spongy material and then putting in the adjuster/screw-in/bolt and tightenef it all the way. The sponge once in, accommodates to fit the screw. Illustrations in instructions don't look like some of the parts and is hard to see where they mean, things to be at times. Also was sure some bits weren't drilled out big enough (but they were) with perseverance. You may not need the following, but I would have found it helpful, with ADHD. Found some parts in the 'stem': a black plastic thing I put back, (with the cut out bits facing upward) and the spray painted other part, you need to use for the top of stem later. Never found both circle metal washer things but had one, looked broken but aligned fine, with some jiggling, onto the bolt, then inserted from the bottom of plate. Turn the stem to screw really tight, whilst holding the bolt at the bottom of plate with spanner, on the nut (not spanner underneath the widest part of head of bolt, on its underside). With the top cap bit found in the stem, (the spray painted one) align the holes on the two moving parts of cap with the hole on the stem to put screwy/adjuster (one with the plastic black handle) in. Finished.

Parasol stand
A very heavy weight to hold the parasol. Unfortunately the hole for pole was still a little too big so had to put cardboard in (used inside of toilet roll). Now perfect.

Heavy Weight Base
The Parasol Base is Heavy Weight and Robustly made. It should easily support any Parasol in all Weathers. The Base has an Attractive Design, which is as True as the Illustration on the Order Page. The Ordering & Delivery was First Class, as Usual. Highly Recommendable.

OK does the job
Ok does the job suspect the pillar holding stem might need adjusting each year which might mean the under base screw could need some rust relief spray on it. Otherwise fine.

Excellent
It is heavy and stable. It does the job well. A bit big but ideal for our table. Easily assembled with few screws

Disgusted. Avoid this company and product.
I put my umbrella in this new stand for the first time. After less than an hour i heard a crack and my umbrella fell over. The base had snapped in half!!! I wrote to the seller and was dismissed with “We do not offer refunds as this blew over in the wind”. I wrote to say not acceptable and have just been told again “We told you, we are not offering you a refund as it blew over!” Surely the idea of an umbrella base is to stop your umbrella blowing over? Even so, we have had scorching summer weather (hence the umbrella) and this was not even more than a gentle breeze. If i do not hear back from this company, i will get my refund through the legal route, as this is clearly a very defective product, merely thrown together. Interesting to note that this product is now showing as Unavailable.... THIS COMPANY IS SELLING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. I would not even have given this one star, but it wasnt allowing me to submit without.
