Easy to Use and Accurate
This is a basic oximeter which comes with batteries, a nice case and a lanyard. It appears to be quite accurate and was a good price.

UPDATED: Still going strong 2.5 yrs later! ...
UPDATE: Still using this several times a day, and it’s still going strong after over 2.5 years of use. I’ve owned several different pulse/ox devices over the years and I can say that this one is the best of the bunch. I actually came back to Amazon tonight to order a second one so that i’ll have a backup, especially since I’m doing a lot of travel these days, mostly long cruises of at least 21 days. It uses AAA batteries which are easy to find almost everywhere. And it’s not a battery ”hog” -- the first set if batteries lasted about 18 months of daily use, checking my numbers 2 or 3 times a day. AND it’s staying accurate. I’ve taken it to my doctor's office twice a year to compare with my doctor’s pulse/ox and it’s almost always exactly the same or at most 1-2 points lower than my doc’s. It’s still a 5-star item. Original review: This is a newer version of an AccuMed Pulse Oximeter I've been using for several years. It's accurate, easy to set up and use (just put in the batteries), and the lanyard and case make it easy to take along when I exercise or travel. I have severe emphysema, prone to CO2 retention, so it helps to keep tabs on O2 levels when I'm doing anything strenuous so I can take pre-emptive action (specific breathing techniques) before I run into trouble. There are a number of small oximeters on the market and they all operate on similar technology, so it comes down to the quality of the materials used and how it's put together. Some are really junk -- accuracy is whacky, the spring clip gives out, etc. This one is very good quality and built to last. I've been using it for several weeks, usually 2-3 times a day -- more if it's a heavy exercise day -- and I've seen no issues at all. This one's a keeper -- solid 5-stars for accuracy and quality.

Works easily and consistently
It works as advertised. Our old one just took forever to register Mother’s oxygen level and heart rate (if at all)—even with new batteries, but this new one consistently reads both and actually works with painted nails! I also like that the display turns automatically.

Works well, Weight limit in instructions, Not in Specs
I've had the unit for about 1 week now. Very easy to use. Oxygen & pulse readings are available immediately. Screen, font size & colors are easy to see. The clamp fits my fingers with the right amount of pressure - not too tight or loose, no slippage or movement. I like the case & lanyard for travel. I'm just surprised there was a weight limit shown in the instruction manual for proper readings - 88lbs - 242lbs. I'm a female that weights over 250lbs. There was also a statement about fingers - nothing specific though. Just don't use on thin or cold fingers. No clarification on what thin means. Being a larger person with narrow ankles & feet, wrists & hands, I won't know if my thin fingers or weight affect the accuracy of the readings or not. The product description on Amazon doesn't mention any of this. If they had, wouldn't have bought it. That being said, I don't know how accurate the readings are. Maybe I'll Take it to my next doctor appointment & compare with their readings.
