With a little "mod", an ideal belt pouch: STURDY, keeps your gear confidential
As made, there is a division sewn into the main pocket about 1/3 the way across the top. For those with VERY LITTLE to carry, that's a good idea--the smaller 1/3 is perfect for a flashlight. I needed something different, so I removed the stitching that separated the two areas and now have one empty space into which I can insert multiple tools. Here are the high points: * durable fabric--does NOT attract or show soil readily * solid stitching * strong belt clip--still, care must be taken that unit does not detach going into and getting out of vehicles--it's possible to catch on seat belt. For me, a CLIP is crucial--I cannot fumble with a belt pouch that requires removal of belt to wear/take off * small, outside, lower "ring" to which I attach a micro-light and a whistle using tiny double carabiners-- * two (2) belt loops outside pocket into which I insert other tools * at the bottom on main pocket is space for mini USB cable/earbuds * small outside pocket has limited space * in back is a small, tight pocket in which I keep copies of licenses, a business card, and a couple of other cards--this is NOT a spacious pocket, and that's fine with me * fold down velcro top is INDISPENSABLE to me--my tools are hidden from sight + protected against falling out or pick pockets. * entire unit sturdy enough to allow "overstuffing"--I've had other "pouches" and none has come close to this, It is NOT a "designer" accessory--this is a working belt pouch for serious use. As configured, I carry one pound of "gear" aka tools. I wear it every day, and my first one has held up more than a year with little sign of distress. This review is for second unit, which will contain a perfect/total BACKUP of my personal items. This could be excellent for a diabetic, carrying meter, test strips, lancets, Rx and more. Of course nurses and EMT's would find this both attractive and effective. It could accommodate a small firearm Innumerable uses.

The EDC all in one carry you need
Fantastic product! I have owned 3 of this same bag over the years and each time they were superbly assembled and high quality. The newer clip fits great not too bulky and all day comfortable and securely holds all items.

Great for stage work - Setwear alternative
No reason to give less than 5 stars, as I don't see anything that could be improved on this. I do live event production (audio/video/lighting) and got tired of carrying my minimal tool set in my pants pockets when the show doesn't call for carrying my whole tool pouch on my belt. I have been looking for a small pouch like this, and Setwear offers some, but I didn't want to pay their prices. I saw a Pock-Its on another guy at a show and ordered one the next day. I was mainly annoyed by my diagonal cutters and non-contact voltage detector and this pouch fits both perfectly. I can hang random things from the little D-ring, and stick a c-wrench and Bulbtronics/Barbizon Light Speed Wrench in the back. It's ideal. I can even throw a screwdriver or hex key set in there was well, or in the stretchy low pouch on the front. That area is good for clipping a tape measure too. Now, I have no experience with the old one, but I'll take a plastic clip over a nylon loop any day. If it had Velcro closure, it's going to get ripped off at my job. If it was just a loop, that sucks because this isn't something I put on in the morning and wear all day - it might get taken off and put back on a couple times throughout my day, and the clip makes that easy. It isn't as hardcore as the flashlight holster clip. It's much more flexible and easier to manage, but holds just as well. It is super well constructed out of thick nylon - the same stuff used on another really sturdy tool pouch I've had for years, and the Nite-Ize flashlight holster (which is the best flashlight holster). If you are looking for something that's basically an extra pocket or slightly more than a single-tool holster, this will work for you.

Useful. Fairly durable.
Mine is stuffed with two flashlights, a multi-tool, a flashlight wand, a USB charger wire, a spare 18650 battery, and there is still room for something slim to slide in the back. I use the plastic belt hook, because it is easy on and off my belt. You can also slide your belt through the belt loops and carry it vertical, or horizontal. The outside is durable nylon, with a less-than-durable inside of vinyl or something like it, that will tear over time if you have crenelated bezel flashlight(s) sticking up in it. Mine has stood up to heavy continuous usage.

Versatile little belt pouch for light work.
The reason I got this pouch was because I swap between jumpers and cargo work pants at work. I wanted something strong enough to go on a belt clip but easy enough to swap or remove to another set up. I Found that this is exactly what I needed as I have a set of tools I carry around at all times and can add it to the tool belt when I gotta do the more speicalized work. Putting tools in my jumper makes moving around cumbersome and inconvenient as I move in and around heavy machines. So it comes real clutch when I can remove it crawl through a space and then still have access to my flashlight and wrenches neatly packed up instead of them falling all over the place and having to scrounge for them. Its built sturdy and super afordable. I have several nite-ize products and they make quality stuff at the right price point imo.

Rugged And Roomy. Great For Commonly Used Tools
I work in repairs and maintenance for a sprawling medical facility. This is the second Nite Ice Pock-Its utility holster that I have owned. The first one, while still functional, has a hole in it and the fabric belt loop has been held together with a safety pin for years. It was over 25 years old when I decided that it was time to replace it. The Pock-Its XL was a no-brainer, as the standard (non XL) version served me so well for so many years. The XL is a bit roomier than I need, as I was accustomed to the smaller version. I added a 6.5" set of Channel Locks in addition to a 6 in 1 screwdriver with a fat rubber handle, rechargeable LED flashlight, 4" Leatherman multi-tool, and 4" adjustable wrench. Honestly, I could easily upgrade to a larger multi-tool, adjustable wrench, and flashlight with the room afforded by this pouch. It takes a few extra seconds to fish out the shorter tools from the deeper pouch, but I have no complaints. For now I will stick with the tools I already own. If I loaded the holster to its full capacity the weight on my belt would become an issue. I was concerned that the bulkier plastic belt clip would hold the pouch off my hip too far and tend to brush up against things that I walk past, but it hasn't really been an issue. Again, if I had it loaded with tools it would stick out more than it currently does. I wear this pouch 9 hours a day 5 days a week and pull the flashlight and screwdriver out of the non-covered pockets literally dozens of times a day. This pouch appears to have the same quality as the one that gave me 25 years of service. If I get half of the service life out of this one that I got out if its predecessor it will be one of the best value purchases that I have made this year.

Everyday carry
I recently decided to purchase a new pouch. In the pics is the new vs old. My old one was at least 14-16yrs old. I’ve carried this item every single day. Rarely is there a day it does not come off my belt n when I don’t have if feel naked and separation anxiety lol. I live a rough lifestyle country farm life plus fire ems. Weatherman multi tool, utility knife and streamlight protac AA flashlight. This thing was still holding strong the clip never broke no cracks the Velcro did wear out and some spots wore thing where started to come make minor holes. I know I could’ve let this go even longer but with the wear I knew it was time. The new one has couple minor changes and the pocket I put multi tool in seems little deeper as the tool goes all way in vs old one part of top stuck out to grab. Got a new folding utility knife that went in the larger on the back vs a slot on the front. The new one clip feels little thinner that the original so I really really hope they didn’t get cheap on this as feel the clips are one of the best parts about nite Ize stuff I have one the phone cases also. Hoping to remember to post updates on this in the future if I can remember. Great product and hope this new generation is even better
