Oak tree doing well.
This cute little oak tree is doing fine in a pot on my porch.

It Grows
So that I could transplant this tree at a later date, I had to put it in a large pot. It is growing and is kept well watered in fertilized soil. It will be transplanted when it gets to about 4 feet in height.

Arrived with leaf spot
I purchased an oak seedling in August 2025. It arrived with leaf spot on the leaves. I potted it anyway, treated the leaf spot with a natural recommended solution, but all the leaves fell off within 2 weeks. I'm leaving it in the pot over the winter, but am pretty sure it's not going to come back.

Very small
I needed Oregon White Oak trees to plant and these were the only ones I could find for sale. I received trees that sit about 2” above ground with about 6” of roots. Sure they’ll grow eventually but we are substantially underwhelmed.
