Amazing stuffโ5 stars!
I purchased this before summer started because every year I treat my outdoor wood furniture to protect it from the strong sun, humidity, and rain. Usually by the end of summer, whatever treatment I use has faded or been worn away by the elements, so I have to do it all over again the following year. This year I used Cabot Australian Timber Oil, and Iโm amazed by the difference. Summer is over, and the finish still looks almost exactly the same as it did right after I applied it - rich, fresh, and completely unfaded.Very impressed with how well it held up through the entire summer. Finally, a wood treatment that actually lasts!

FABULOUS FINISH FOR OUTSIDE WOOD
Best stuff on the planet! After getting one to two years tops from urethanes, we switched to this Timber Oil for our porch pillars and have been thrilled with the results. Holds its color, puts up with Texas sun and heat, never flakes off...can't say enough good things about it.

Great stain!
Bought some rockers from the Angola rodeo a couple years ago and they needed some tlc. Came out far better than I expected. I got the Jarrah Brown because I wanted a mahogany tone. My husband got in from offshore and couldnโt believe the difference. Quality product!

Worked great for 'lived in' style Ikea
I bought a set of heavily weather acacia wood IKEA chairs. Made the mistake of initially using walnut indoor stain/oil and ended up with a gummy finish... Awful and very time consuming to redo.Did an imperfect sand to get off that stain and bring the wood back to an even surface... Just enough to bring some eyes out, but hold depth with dark areas so that the pieces keep a modern 'repuposed wood' vibe. It's the Oregonian in me.I got exactly that. With a gloved hand I had a cloth to dip into a cup of stain and work into the grain for a light even layer (starting underside to top and all at once), and 'clean' cloth in my other hand to wipe the stain off the various hardware on the chairs to keep it fresh looking. Don't go in heavy handed, and if you want it darker give it like two days between. But I achieved my goal with one round, and after a day in a half had soft satiny to the touch wood (not hard slick lacquer). They look refinished and loved, but not uptight and perfect. The jarrah is on the warm side and especially in bright light there's noticeable red. But very complementarity to original IKEA finish, but light enough finish that you can see the character of the wood.

14 month review after Chicago winter-this WORKS!
Tried others, this one works! My 1962 natural finish redwood garage door in north suburban Chicago needs the occasional sanding and refinish. I have tried stains and varnishes professionally applied and DIY. Grok AI said try Cabot Timber oil, and it looks as good a year later as the week I applied it. This seems to penetrate the wood and create a hard shell that has a lasting shine. This is the first product I felt compelled to review. Others peeled, lost luster, failed to adhere, etc. l DIYโD and for under $100 it looks fantastic after 14 months and a winter.
