I bought 2 of these, 1 for a rental property, other for my own home. The thicknesses of the sliding doors were different, but both fit perfectly. This is simple to install into any 'standard' sized sliding door lock, just line up the 2 screws and you are done for each side, it takes minutes. It looks attractive, and with all the different inserts, it is easy to find one that will allow your door to lock. A really great value that I am very happy with. I purchased the Prime-Line C handle to go with this. Same company, but the handle set included no screws. I now have to find just SLIGHTLY longer screws to work with the handle. If I wanted to go to a hardware store to buy screws to make this work with your other product, I would have bought everything at the big box store to begin with. Just a few mm longer and it would have worked. Just charge $.20 more and include longer and shorter screws to accommodate your own handles, and different thickness sliding doors, alternatively, include the screws with your handle set. This is no fault of this set, so I'm still giving 4 stars, but I still have an unusable sliding door handle after buying 2 of your products.

Great inexpensive replacement lock for sliding glass door. Perfect fit and easy to install.

Broke in half before I installed it. I still was able to install it successfully because with two screws and being inserted into the door it will stay together. Firm lock and unlock! The lock and unlock safety is loose and will not work for childproof. If you don't need that feature the lock is a perfect replacement. It seems to be the only replacement if your sliding door has one like this already because of the size of the cutout in the door. Just be gentle not to bend it in half to try and straighten it. Just install if it comes bent and it will straighten as you screw it to the door.

The screw length was too short. I had to use the original screws. No big deal.

Was able to replace door handle. Couldn't find elsewhere.

I can't even begin to tell you what a rip-off this has been. The parts they give you might not be the right length or width for your sliding door. I know for a fact this one was missing the correct size locking tongue for my door. Thankfully, I had the old one I could use. The body was a bent, chipped, and pre-scratched bit of diecast that poorly fit in the pre-cut narrow sliding door slot. It was clearly either used already or poorly prepared, as I had to bend it with pliers to get the locking mechanism to trigger properly. There should be a loop at the bottom that keeps the lock from over-extending, but it was bent, so I had to cut it off with wire-cutters to get it to lock/unlock properly. The strike fitting that the lock connects to looks like painted metal, but will dent and warp like cheap plastic. Even the screws that came with it weren't right thread for the screw holes. They're flat-head, and immediately will dent and strip if you aren't extremely careful. I replaced them with some threaded philips screws. The same product from the same company is $10 for a chrome finish and $20 for this white finish. That must be an expensive white they're using.

Installation took 2 min. Good that different sizes of the latch are provided. Hopefully it will last. Unclear what material this one is. Not magnetic. The old one is aluminum and the material just break.
