Best for Pharaoh ants
Unfortunately this syringe squirts to powerfully wasting... but i immediately transfer it too a swapped med bottle and apply with a q-tip. Effective product. dont need to use alot at once. Although i had Pharoah ants which are the worst to get rid of. Coming in tiny swarms to inhabit your space. I had to fight with them for about a month, but finally they vacated. Make note, they will cluster near this bate as they are dying. You should follow procedure and wipe any mess up including the ants to guarantee they dont return. Also very cheap bate for the use!

Goes where other baits can't
I tried everything before this — sugar baits, protein baits, liquid traps, and solid traps. The ants would either ignore them completely or just walk around them like they weren’t even there. I live in an older apartment with uneven tile and tons of cracks in the bathroom floor, and the ants were constantly popping up from random spots all day long. It wasn’t a simple “trail” problem — it was like they were coming from underneath the floor itself. What made this gel different is that you can put it directly into the cracks, crevices, and grout lines instead of hoping ants will wander into a plastic trap. With other baits, they could just avoid the station. With this gel, they really couldn’t — it goes right where they’re entering and traveling. Within a day I started seeing ants actually interacting with it instead of ignoring it. Over the next several days, the random “pop-up” ants dropped off significantly. It didn’t just kill the ones I saw; it clearly affected whatever colony was underneath the floor. If you’re dealing with ants in an older building, broken tile, or areas where traps don’t make sense, this works much better than standard bait stations. Just apply small amounts into the cracks where they’re coming from and leave it alone. It was the first product that actually made a noticeable difference for me after wasting money on multiple other bait types.

Fast, Effective, and Easy to Apply—Finally Solved My Ant Problem
I’d tried a bunch of other ant killers with little success, but this Combat Ant Killing Gel actually did the job. I followed the instructions, put small dots along cracks and crevices where I saw trails, and within a day I noticed fewer ants. By day 3–4, they were basically gone, and the problem hasn’t returned. Pros: Works quickly when used as directed—visible results in a day or two Eliminates the colony, not just the ants you see Easy, precise application with the syringe—great for cracks and tight spots High-water gel attracts strong feeding, so ants take it back to the nest Minimal mess compared to granules or sprays Cons: You need to resist wiping it up immediately—let the ants feed and carry it off Not a set-and-forget for large areas; you may need multiple placements Keep out of reach of kids and pets (it’s a pesticide) Bottom line: If you apply it where ants travel and give it a couple of days to work, this gel is extremely effective. It’s the first product that truly cleared my infestation.

Good for killing ants.
Great for killing ants, easy to clean up but since it's prone to drying, easily loses effectiveness. It sticks an adheres to surfaces pretty well if you need to get ants in odd locations. Never had any ants wise up to this one though, since they tend to learn to avoid baits eventually.

this stuff works
i had a problem with ants in my bedroom and tried bait traps that didnt quite work (scavenger ants were too small to climb it) so i went to this, and this worked very well. I applied it directly in the area where they walk around and then left it be, i did put way too much but that depends on how many ants you see. it practically killed every ant within 3 days as they ate the bait and took it back to the colony. It was definitely worth the money and will continue using this when the warmer months come around again

Not as Exactly as Advertise, Mystery Solved
To begin with this review, let me say that i have ordered the "Combat Ant Killing Gel" in the past as pictured and i must tell you it was a very effective product. It was so good that you only needed a small dab and ants were gone for months. Why do i say "was"? There seem to be some confusion with this product today. After doing some extensive research i finally solved the mystery as to why we have a huge majority of good reviews and bad reviews. Here is what i have discovered, like i mentioned before i have used this product before and had a overwhelming success. In the past week i had placed a new order for the " Combat Ant Killing Gel" the package came in a timely manner. At first i did not see a problem until i started to use this product. I noticed from the start that this product wasn't as effective as the one i tried before. I was baffled i couldn't understand as to why the ants didn't even touch the stuff, at times they will consume the products , other times they will simply ignore the product and walk pass me laughing. So i double checked my order and discovered something i didn't noticed before i started to use the product.in fact when i saw the words "Combat" i didn't dwell on me it was a different product packaging until i noticed that instead of saying "Combat Ant Killing Gel". What it said was "Combat Source Kill Max A2". at first i contacted the seller to see if they had sent me the wrong product. while i was waiting for a response i noticed that the ants were still ignoring the product better yet after examining the area with a magnifying glass i can actually see the ants sitting back in their lounge chairs drinking margaritas. let me get Serious Now & get back to my review. i went one step further and contact the manufacturer of the "Combat source kill max A2" product. I wanted to know if the "Combat Ant Killing Gel" and the "Combat Source Kill Max A2" were 2 different products? Here is what i have discovered, The manufacturer of the "Combat Ant Killing Gel in which is called "Henkel" explain to me that they no longer make the "Combat Ant Killing Gel" and that in fact the product was replaced with a product Now called "Combat Source Kill Max A2". Here in Amazon it is still being advertised as "Combat Ant Killing Gel" all thou some vendors still have a supply in hand other simply are shipping out the new "Combat Source Kill Max A2". inwhich i find the this new product to be useless not as effective as the Old "Combat Ant Killing Gel". If your ordering this product keep in mind that the product with the Barcode "023400 973064" is infact for the product called "Combat Source Kill Max A2" After expressing the non effective use of this product to the manufacturer they informed me that they offer a better and more potent product. They offered me to send me a coupon for me to try out this new product. For those who got the new product instead of the one being advertized as "Combat Ant Killing Gel" you can simply ask for a refund even thou you tried the product. As to the confusion as some people getting the "Combat Ant Killing Gel" and some getting the "Combat Source Kill Max A2" instead. it's the responsibility of the seller to check and make sure that the product they are shipping is the same product being advertized. Having said that i am giving this product "Combat Source kill Max A2" a one star. They do not manufacture the original "Combat Ant Killing Gel" as the picture suggest anymore it has been replaced with " Combat Source Kill Max A2" a weaker yet less effective version. I hope this review has cleared up some confusion. *** I have informed Vendor inwhich they notified Amazon of the confusion and the Picture has been revised to "Combat Source kill Max A2" ***I hope this has clear up some confusion Update: Sept. 2016 Since my review Amazon has corrected the information and posted the correct image of the newer product, But keep in mind that the product rating system is still off due to the fact that the reviews from original product (back in 2006) is mixed in with the reviews of this new product.

Tinkering in my garden the other day tidying a huge bed that accommodates my 12 foot tall beautiful banana trees and was horrified to discover an absolutely colossal black ants nest! This thing was like 4 meters long and a meter and a half wide. They were also branching out and creating little pilot nests on some of my treasured Bonsai plant pots!! I couldn't see all the entrances so I topped up the entire area with compost 8 inches deep to force them to tunnel out and reveal themselves. Within 30 minutes I literally saw thousands upon thousands of ants pouring out of various sections in the bed, maybe 9 locations in total. And that showed me where to put the gel. And even a splurge right up on the trunk of one banana tree close to where a new bunch of bananas was beginning to flower that the ants were all over. They absolutely devoured the stuff covering it so densely all you could see was a black writhing masses. Within about an hour they had consumed TWO entire tubes of this gel and I assume carried a ton of it home deep into the nest to feed their chief Empress egg layer. I started the whole process around 7:00 p.m. in the evening, and by the time I went out 6:00 a.m the next morning there was not a single ant in sight. Two tubes had wiped out this entire huge colony in one evening. The stuff is pretty expensive but if you're serious about getting rid of ants in your garden this will obliterate them.

I buy most of my products buy the product description and the review's. The product descriptions does not discriminate between what ants it will kill and what ant it won't. The review's mention Pharaoh ants several times that's is why I purchased it. On opening the packaging in small print it says excludes Pharaoh ants. Totally useless to me now and I bought two packets.

I bought this last year and I don’t usually do reviews. I am now as I’ve just tried another gel which had good reviews but didn’t work well so I searched for this one again and glad to have found it so I am doing my review from last year. I put the gel down and ants ate it and then after a couple days no more ants. Simple and effective. The other one I just used didn’t kill ants at the nest and instead ants died slowly out on their duties so I have had to clean up hundreds of tiny dead ants in all manner of places. The other gel also only worked the first day and then ants started avoiding it. I just assumed all were the same but no. This one is tried and tested so I’ve just ordered it again. We get ants every year around this time. Apparently there’s a nest outside our utility room in the garden (so the guy I paid £100 to sort them said a couple years ago). Now we do it ourselves for around £15 and we’ll now choose this gel every year without fail as it is tried and tested and it works. Sorry to the seller for not reviewing earlier!

The Combat Ant Killing Gel is the "Trojan Horse" of pest control. Instead of the instant satisfaction of a spray that only kills the ants you can see, this gel uses a slow-acting poison called Fipronil. The foragers find the sweet, high-moisture gel, mistake it for a feast, and carry it back to the heart of the colony to feed the larvae and the queen. It’s a patient man’s game; you’ll see ants swarming the bait for a few days, but that's exactly what you want—it’s the "last supper" that wipes out the entire nest from the inside. The syringe applicator is a masterstroke for precision, letting you inject the gel directly into those tiny cracks in the skirting boards or behind the kitchen sink where ants actually live. Because it’s a gel rather than a spray, you aren’t coating your kitchen in a fine mist of chemicals.
