Le Creuset Silicone Prep Bowls, Set of 4 - 1/4c, 1/3c, 1/2c & 1 cup, Cerise

These are measuring cup sized prep/pinch bowls. These are not mixing bowls. Most of the low reviews are from customers who did not understand what they were ordering. This is the second time I have purchased these-- I love them! It is so useful to have easy-to-access bowls that are sized exactly for food measurements. They are clearly marked as 1 Cup, 1/2 Cup, etc. They are made of high quality silicone making them easy to clean and safe for use with a variety of foods. These are so great for storing and measuring ingredients when preparing to cook. Such a simple tool that made my cooking so much easier! Highly recommend.

They are silicone made, so are flexible. They have size indicator at the bottom, so you know which one is 1, 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 cup (this one very small - only fits an egg). Colorful and nice looking. Although they are in Mixing Bowls category, they are not... they are not bigger than an adult hand. But for measuring purposes, very good and looks beautiful! Being flexible helps to don't make a mass when transferring ingredients.

These babies are too cute and I believe will be very helpful when baking to have the ingredients pre-measured so you can just add them when needed -- will prevent over mixing which is critical when baking. I do, however, have a problem with the cost of these items. They are very tiny and obviously, you are paying for the name brand. I'm ok with that when it is the cookware that undergoes special processes and has a lifetime guarantee. But, these are just tiny silicon bowls anyone could make - that should be taken into account by the company and loyal customers should be rewarded for their loyalty with a break on the price of this time of item.

As with other reviews I thought i was buy small mixing bowls, turns out they are more prep/miss bowls, and i love them. I thought i would never find use for them and to my surprise I use them almost every day, the soft material makes it really easy to grip, pour and toss what ever is in them while cooking. Especially useful for hot cooking such as stir-fry's where High Heat and Quick Acting play an important role. They are also great for mixing up RUBS and SEASONINGS.

Mine are used every day, replacing my hard measuring cups for most uses. They are relatively thick silicone but still quite flexible, so it's easy to scrape or pour food out of them, they stack in little space, are easy to clean, and are very lightweight. I monitor portion sizes and use them to measure any food that fits in a round container, such as corn, beans, peas, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. Besides being useful as prep bowls, they are great for dips as they are easy to scrape with a chip or cracker. I also use the larger ones to defrost frozen berries in the microwave to pour over ice cream or yogurt. When taking my several vitamin pills out of their bottles each day, I drop them in one of these and the pills don't bounce off and fall on the floor where it's hard to find them. Very practical.

Overall, these are nice and useful. In addition to their intended use for mise-en-place, we've also found the two largest ones handy for baby food. They are dishwasher safe and have held up very well to repeated cleanings. We also have a set in a lime green, but that doesn't seem to be available on Amazon. I deducted one star because of the price -- you are paying a premium for the Le Creuset name. They might have the best enameled cast iron cookware on the market, but this is just regular ol' silicone. There's no reason for the MSRP to be twenty bucks.

These are great for mixing up spices and small amounts of sauce, holding things like garlic or onion that you chopped and measured while preparing a recipe. Dishwasher safe, so clean up is easy too. If the brand is anything to go on, I'm sure they'll last for many years to come. Picture has chapstick for scale

I don’t use these as measuring cups. Given how soft and flexible they are, I’m not sure how accurate they would be. What I bought them for, and use them for almost daily, is prepping for dinner. Whether I’m making a spice mix, prepping a complicated recipe, or just need somewhere to hold my slivered chives, these work perfectly and are super easy to clean!

Gostei do produto, porém não imaginava que seriam tijelas medidoras!!! Como se fossem copo de medida !!!

Exactly as described - it is a little set of 4 silicone measuring cups /bowls. The measurements are on the bottom. Biggest size is 1 cup. I use them when I am prepping for a meal. Makes it easier to add this or that while your cooking. I am glad I bought this set.
