Norpro My Favorite Jumbo Porcelain Mugs, Set of 2, White

My favorite cups. The wide lips and sturdiness feels right when cupped in your hand. A great find and I simply love these.

Since I love big, bowl-like mugs, I chose these to make those DIY Paint Sharpie mugs as Christmas gifts. I ordered three sets of these, and the manufacturing was consistent between boxes. They are a nice, clean white color, and were perfect to draw and write on. They turned out great, and the size is perfect. I ended up with an extra, so I made one for myself! When I've used them, I've found them well-balanced and easy to grip-- they have really big handles. I suppose a larger mug could easily be awkward to hold, but I don't find this one to be that way at all. There's something so cozy about making a cup of tea or coffee in a mug like this. For anyone interested in what I did, I used oil-based Sharpies to make designs on the mugs, put them in the oven before heating it, set it to 420º (**see update**), left them there for an hour while checking occasionally that they didn't brown from the heat (they didn't), then turned off the oven and left them in there to cool. Oh, and when I did the designs, I wrote "hand wash only" on the inside as a precaution-- I spent too many hours on them not to! They were very popular Christmas gifts that I was proud of. :) UPDATE: Six months in, the mugs still haven't had their colors wash away, and I've been told that they have been accidentally put in the dishwasher more than a few times. I had some color changing with the original mugs; the red turned maroon, and all the blues turned green. However, I received a tip from a potter that 400º is much too hot for certain colors like sky blue to remain intact, and advised me to bake the mugs at 350º instead. That person was absolutely right, and in the last batch I made, the colors are much more vivid and I had less color changing. So, lesson learned! Keep the temperature down to 350º if color is important. I will update in the future to verify that colors stay put after being baked at this lower temperature.

Love these mugs for my latte/cappuccinos! I use my coffee maker and milk frotherand fill these babies up to the top. I wanted a huge huge mug that's not super heavy. These have some weight to them but not heavy like a soup bowl. I can sip with one or two hands and it fits three coffee pods plus at least a cup of milk. It holds the heat well so I can take my time drinking and if needed can always reheat in the microwave if kids interrupt my drink. So happy with this size. It holds about 2.25 cups which is about 17 oz. Comes in a set of two. It's heavy duty and seems to not chip despite repeated use . Highly recommend. Glad after all that online browsing I decided on these. Great price as well. update: it's one year later (actually more) and I still love these cups! They still look brand new despite my using them every day! They hold heat well especially when i warm them up with some hot water before making my coffee in them. highly recommend! not too heavy, perfect cafe coffee at home! Update: it's 4/2023 and these mugs are still like new! Still highly recommend after 6 years! Wow!

These are nice, sturdy, everyday mugs. They aren't exactly the jumbo latte saucers I was going for (one of the local coffee shops out here uses something quite close to a literal bowl) -- but they're great for everyday use. They do great in the dishwasher and clean up like you'd expect.

Love these mugs They are wide which makes them great for smoothies, oatmeal, soups, coffee, cereal, ice cream or whatever you want to serve in them. They are not heavy. They are easy to hold and clean. Good capacity about 16-17oz I had no problem with shipping. They arrived in good condition. They are simple yet serve their purpose. I like that there is the option to purchase 2 or 4 depending on what yours needs are. I think the pride is fair for what you get. Would definitely recommend (I added a picture showing a size comparison with a 160z mug and a 11 oz mug to show the size of this mug. Even if it says jumbo mug is a good size not huge)
