You get a nice arm workout while ridding your carpet or cushions of dust. First whack and the dust clouds up. Very satisfying. And it's strong. I thought it would be wimpy, because it's rattan but that's not the case. Finally, it's pretty.

This carpet beater is great! I can’t believe all the dirt that came out of my doormats while using it. I knew my vacuum wasn’t getting it all out, but this was a surprise. It has a nice design and appears to be well made. The only thing that I can think of that would make it better is if it had a hanging thingy on the end of the handle.

Live in the desert so using often to bat out the sand on our patio cushions. The binding from the head to handle is already loosening up. Used duct tape to keep it together. For the price paid compared to other plastic products not worth it.

This pedal reminds me of Babooshka‘s I’ve seen on movies. I never thought that I’d only one of these. It works just as intended and sturdy. My only caution is that I use it indoors, and won’t ever do that again. It really does get ground in dirt and dust out of rugs so should be used outside. It’s easy to clean and looks great hanging next to all of my other implements in the utility closet

Grew up with using this for our rugs and carpets. Always wanted one that was that sturdy, works wonderful, does the job and doesn't fall apart like most of today's flimsy made household use items. Highly recommend, a must have for a house full of rugs. Now get your S.O. to install just as sturdy a carpet pipe outside. lol

This is just a good old fashioned carpet beater. It works great for beating the dust out of rugs, blankets, pillows, door mats, or anything else that gets dusty. My wife loves it, as it is the same as her mother used as long as she can remember. Probably has been used for 100's of years. (she's not THAT old ;).
