Seems to work
I buy this for my mother who has problems with neighbors who walk their dogs and feel it is unnecessary to pick up after their dog who poops on other people's lawns. Someone stole her yard signs so we had to move to plan B. Aside: I will refrain from labeling such people with words that I could use to make myself feel better. Anyway, this product when used as directed seems to do the trick. It has a really strong scent that discourages dogs as well as humans. So, I recommend based on experience.

Didn't work (and costly to reapply)
I have a relatively small garden plot (approx 25 sqrft). My new puppy loves to dig around in it and dig up bulbs. I sprinkled the granules on liberally, basically covering the space. My dog actually seemed to LIKE the smell and wanted to investigate the garden more. I did NOT like the smell, and unfortunately, my garden is only 8 ft or so away from our backdoor, and the stench wafted in significantly. And when my dog was in the garden with it, she started to smell like it (yuck). Even if it did work, the amount it takes (basically the entire container minus a cup or two) and how often you'd have to reapply, would make it quickly too expensive to use. I know the instructions do say that it isn't the stuff alone- that you also have to use training (this is merely a training aid), and I AM working with her using training methods to satay out of the garden. My main point is I think it made zero difference/didn't help at all considering how happy she was to roll around in it.

Works for some dogs, but not all.
Stopped my dogs from digging in a certain area of my yard. It did not stop the neighbor's dog from coming over and pooping on a certain spot of my property.

Effective. Pricey, but Effective
So I live in a city where the number of people that own dogs has skyrocketed. Most of which, are terrible at curbing their pet. I had enough of cleaning up after them so I found this stuff. I sprinkle it all over the sidewalk in front of my home, maybe 3 times a week and poof, no more urine and feces. I add some cayenne pepper to the mix whenever I get a new bottle. Maybe that's why its as effective as it is. You should definitely do that too. Its $23 for something that I run out of in roughly 10 days, which isn't exactly cheap. But either way, this stuff has worked really well. The real downside is that I can't get it in a larger amount. I want, like, 20 pounds of this stuff. Heck, if I could, I'd crop dust this stuff over my entire neighborhood.

Only works for a few days.
I spread the whole container in my very small patch of land 10โx8โ. This product smells like good. Like seafood seasoning. It seemed to work for only a few days. (Non rainy days). About 6 days later, I can no longer smell it and apparently the dog canโt either because he left another deposit in my yard. Iโm looking into other solutions because I canโt afford to buy this if it only works for a few short days.

reduced feral cat activity but not completely
I have a problem with feral cats using my garden as a litter box. They scratch at the ground cover and do their business. I have used other brands of granules with some success but seems like the cats have become immune to the smell. I tried this brand because the ingredients were different and seems to help. I think IU will include this in the rotation.

My dog eats it
I used this product to deter my dog from digging in my yard. I spread it over visible dirt areas where she likes to dig. She was instantly attracted to it and voraciously licked it up. Not only that, she rolled in it. Her mouth was full of dirt and repellent. I had to spray the repellent off and she still was attracted to the smell. So now instead of dirt she was licking mud. It took about a week to completely get rid of. This product is a waste of money and created more problems.
