I just received the card reader yesterday so I can only give my initial impressions. I’m rating this a 4 for now because I haven’t had it long enough to do a full evaluation. Out of the box, this seems like a good, solidly-built reader that does all it claims to do. I inserted it into my 2016 iPad Pro and it immediately prompted me to download the xDisk app. I opened the app and it was able to read my internal drive as well as the 128GB Samsung SD card that I had inserted into the reader. I had previously copied a few video files to the drive and the xDisk app was able to play all of them (MP4, MKV, M4V, AVI). The connectors seem like they have a tight fit into the devices so I’m not worried about it falling out. The plugs are all protected by plastic covers but there’s nothing attaching the covers to the reader so there’s a risk that you can lose the covers. That shouldn’t be a big issue long term - I have an older reader that I lost the cover for years ago and it still works just fine. I haven’t tried using it to offload any of my pictures but I automatically sync them with multiple online services so I don’t know if I’ll use that feature. I can see it being useful if you take a lot of pictures and don’t have an internet connection to offload/back up, however. The big enhancement I'd like to see is integration with the iOS Files app. That would bump this to 5 stars for me. So far, I’m happy with my purchase.

Works great! Using with my iPad and moving files from my tablet to a memory card. As long as you read the little booklet if you have questions you’ll be fine. Using a 2TB microusb memory card and transfer is really fast. Read the card fine. Also plugged into my MacBook Air (which didn’t need the power cord). It showed up right away, and also used a standard sized SD card and all worked well. Doesn’t heat up and is so easy to use, just plug and play and use the ‘files’ app. Would definitely buy again and recommend!

I bought it worked and it worked for my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max for a short period of time and stopped working. I will try to see if the USB A and USB C part will respond, wish I can be refunded or exchange.

Good quality, the data transfer speed is good and I can connect it to several cell phone models such as iPhone, Samsung or my desktop, I love it.

This is a good device to have, however, this particular one I would not recommend. It stopped reading my card and I would have to plug it in and take it back out of my iPhone a lot of times just to get it to connect. The usb port is good to have, and this size is small enough to keep in my camera bag, but eventually the iPhone one stopped working for me. Not good picture quality. It would also get super hot. This was likely a user error, but I put a micro SD card in the micro slot and it ruined my card, I lost everything that was on it. Now when I plug that card in it starts overheating and gets dangerously hot. So pay attention to which way you should insert the cards! I recommend using an adapter on the micro slot just in case.

War ja erst skeptisch, dann aber völlig überzeugt: funktioniert einwandfrei an 2 verschiedenen IPads, HUAWEI P30 pro und Windows-PC (Win Prof 10). Bei jedem Gerät wurde die vom SD Karte des Fotoapparates sofort erkannt und Fotos bzw Datenaustausch (auch Dokumente) war ohne Probleme möglich, sogar auf dem 3 Jahre alten IPad und dem zweiten IPad ebenfalls (auch Filme oder Fotos direkt von der Karte ansehen). Wie bei evtl. Problem des nichterkennens beim IPad zu verfahren ist, hat bereits ein anderer Kunde sehr gut erklärt. Bei uns hat aber alles direkt funktioniert. Auch beim PC oder den Android Handys. Datenaustausch, kopieren, war an jedem Gerät kein Problem. Werde noch einen Kartenleser als Geschenk bestellen. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Perfect for my needs. My canon is old but gold, I did not want to change it. I have now added this to my portable set and it is easy to use and perfect for sharing to my smartphone.
