Delicious and satisfying
This is one of my favorite tea blends, so of course itโs hard to reliably find in stores. I consider it to be high quality, absolutely consider it to aid in relaxation (love having a cup after arriving home from work) and the flavor is unique, very satisfying. I was happy with the price for this item, as well as time between order and receipt. Highly recommend this tea and also the seller.

Love the flavor!
Love this flavor! There is a perfect blend of spice and warmth when I drink this tea. I am not a huge tea lover but always find myself repurchasing this item and it never goes to waste when Iโm in the mood for a warm drink.

Incredibly good BUT
It is VERY good BUT it comes with a **warning** on the back of the tea bag. I asked why and here it is: The warning on your Egyptian licorice tea ("not for daily use beyond 4-6 weeks") is there because of a natural compound in licorice root called glycyrrhizin (also called glycyrrhizic acid).Egyptian licorice tea (often called "erk soos" in Egypt) is made from real licorice root, and this compound gives it the sweet flavor and some traditional benefits (like soothing the throat or stomach). But when you drink it every day for weeks, glycyrrhizin can build up and cause problems in the body. Why the time limit?Glycyrrhizin blocks an enzyme in your kidneys (11ฮฒ-HSD2). Normally this enzyme keeps the stress hormone cortisol from acting like the hormone aldosterone. When it's blocked:Your body holds onto more sodium and water โ blood pressure can rise (even if your BP is normally low or normal). You lose too much potassium (hypokalemia) โ muscle weakness, cramps, irregular heartbeat, or in rare severe cases more serious issues like heart rhythm problems. These effects are well-documented and can start after just 2 weeks of higher intake, but they often become noticeable after several weeks of daily use. That's exactly why brands put the 4โ6 week limit on the label โ it's a safety precaution to prevent buildup. (Many popular brands like Yogi Egyptian Licorice use this exact wording.)Health authorities back this up:WebMD and NCCIH (U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health) note that licorice with glycyrrhizin is "possibly unsafe" in large amounts or for long periods. European safety committees recommend keeping daily glycyrrhizin under 10โ100 mg (most teas have 20โ100+ mg per cup depending on strength and brand). Exceeding that regularly for weeks is where risks climb. Who should be extra careful?People with high blood pressure, heart or kidney issues, or low potassium. Pregnant or nursing women (it can affect hormones and raise early-delivery risk). Anyone on certain medications (e.g., blood pressure drugs, diuretics, corticosteroids). If you're healthy and drink just 1โ2 cups a day, most people tolerate it fine for up to 4โ6 weeks. After that, the advice is to take a break of at least a couple of weeks so your body clears it out and resets.Bottom lineThe label isn't being overly dramatic โ it's based on real cases where people drinking licorice tea daily for months developed high blood pressure or low potassium that resolved once they stopped. Follow the 4โ6 week guideline, cycle on and off if you want to keep enjoying it, and check with a doctor if you have any health conditions or notice symptoms like swelling, headaches, weakness, or unusual fatigue. If you want a similar-tasting tea for longer daily use, look for deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) versions โ they remove most of the glycyrrhizin but keep some of the other benefits. Enjoy your tea safely!

The best tea I've tasted so far.
This is my new favorite tea. It's sweet without any sugar and very flavorful. It's not as strong harsh licorice flavor. More of a mix of delicious, spicy, sweet flavors. I highly recommend trying it.

Works as described. Tastes good.
I was a little skeptical bc most teas donโt agree with my acid reflux, but decided to try this one. Ever since beginning premenopause, my stomach has been out of sorts more often than not, even with meds. After one mug of this tea, my stomach settled down right away. Itโs mildly fragrant, with stronger notes of cinnamon with a little orange twist. The after-taste is sweet without any bitterness of fake sweeteners. I steeped it for 5 minutes. This was easy to drink because it didnโt taste super strong, which you usually donโt want when you donโt feel well. I donโt taste the licorice. This wonโt cure your acid issues or GERD, but to me it worked fast and tasted way better than expected. I was even able to go to sleep soon after which usually I canโt do after drinking tea. I recommend it!

Soothing
This tea really helps with throat illness. It is soothing and tastes great. No need for sugar because it has a sweetness to it without sugar.

Black licorice fans rejoice!
Now, I know not everyone likes black licorice (weirdos ๐).... But this tea is amazing. I've tried other brands with the same flavor profile, but Yogi Tea is the absolute best. It is the most naturally flavored, true to black licorice essence you will get. Other ones I've had to use two tea bags to get the same level of licorice flavor in a cup. This is a great tea to enjoy in the evening, without caffeine, and it feels like a real dessert treat. I've had several other flavors of Yogi tea and they've all been excellent. Plus to get four boxes of this with 64 tea bags at this price, is an outstanding value. Try all of the Yogi brand teas but the licorice is definitely the first one I would encourage you to try!

Rich, sweet, and distinctive
A wonderfully bold licorice tea with natural sweetness and plenty of character. It is especially satisfying when I want something warm without adding sugar.
