The sound quality makes them almost silent but its an ok sound, not great, not bad. The keys themselves are lacking in durability, I removed a few key caps (yes I did it the right way) to see if I could put some other keycaps I had purchased over them to improve both the sound and feel but not only did I figure out the bottoms of the keys are some type of odd proprietary modification on the bottoms which made the keys unable to be switched out for almost any half decent replacement. The keys themselves also scraped slightly each time one was removed which is very odd with how little force they take to come off, like they were made to be a bit flimsy. It seems like decent value for money, a better, slightly less compatible, slightly flimsier keyboard, with less keys but costs $50 dollars less than the competitors. Edit: Best keyboard I have ever owned, no keyboard has ever felt this right, I felt the same way with the Logitech mouse I got and it seems you really can't go wrong with high rated, high end Logitech products. Still not happy with the compatibility issues with most key caps but I wouldn't wish a different keyboard on anyone with the feel, sound, and reaction time. I really hope this keyboard lasts. Edit 2: I keep spilling pop on this, at a certain point it feels like I perform magic tricks bringing this keyboard back from the pop covered depths of despair I put it through. Idk how it even still works but not only does it still work, none of the key's stick... mostly. A few stick but I'll fix that mountain dew flavored problem soon enough. Just have to pull off the keys with the plastic keyboard puller of doom and get down in there with a few of those lovely ear cleaning tips you can buy at any back ally store. I didn't even do it that well, just used regular ol water on the que tips and scrubbed each. Then clicked each key about 200 times and it's good to go. Ps. I left it connected and in internet explorer, I am truly mad. Review: Awesome keyboard - This keyboard is sick. The G hub software is super easy to use and control the color of the keys. The keys also feel really good and sound nice when pressed down. Would buy again. Worth the price imo. ## Features - Personalize 5 customizable lighting zones with over 16.8M colors to match your setup or game and synchronize backlit lighting effects with other Logitech G devices using Logitech G Hub - G213 Prodigy is a full-sized keyboard designed for gaming and productivity, with a slim body built for gamers of all levels and durable construction to repel liquids, crumbs, and dirt for easy cleanup - Each key is tuned to enhance the tactile experience, delivering ultra-quick, responsive feedback while the anti-ghosting gaming matrix is tuned for optimal gaming performance, keeping you in control - G213 gaming keyboard features dedicated media controls that can play, pause, and mute music and videos instantly; easily adjust the volume or skip to the next song with the touch of a button - Customize lighting, game mode, and macro programming with Logitech G HUB software and stay comfortable during long gaming sessions thanks to an integrated palm rest and adjustable keyboard feet ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07QGHK6Q8 | | Additional Features | Lighting | | Antenna Location | Gaming | | Best Sellers Rank | #253 in Video Games ( See Top 100 in Video Games ) #12 in PC Gaming Keyboards | | Brand | Logitech G | | Button Quantity | 19 | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | PC | | Compatible Operating System Family | Windows | | Connectivity Technology | USB, Wired | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 7,558 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | durable, spill-resistant material(s) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00097855151391 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 8.58"L x 17.8"W x 1.3"H | | Item Highlight | Mech-Dome Keys, Palm Rest, Adjustable Feet, Media Controls, LIGHTSYNC RGB, USB, Compatible with Windows | | Item Type Name | Gaming Keyboard | | Item Weight | 1000 g | | Keyboard Backlighting Color Support | RGB | | Keyboard Description | Gaming | | Keyboard Layout | QWERTY | | Manufacturer | Logitech | | Mfr Part Number | 920-009284 | | Model Name | G213 | | Model Number | 920-009284 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Keys | 104 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Sections | 5 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Gaming | | Special Feature | Lighting | | Style Name | Keyboard only | | Switch Type | Tactile | | Theme | Gaming | | UPC | 097855151391 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2 Year Limited Hardware Warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Logitech G - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** PC - **Connectivity Technology:** USB, Wired - **Keyboard Description:** Gaming - **Keyboard backlighting color support:** RGB - **Product Dimensions:** 8.58"L x 17.8"W x 1.3"H - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Gaming - **Special Feature:** Lighting - **Style:** Keyboard only ## Images ![Logitech G213 Prodigy Wired RGB Gaming Keyboard - Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71y+Sl+qWwL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is the integrated palm rest removeable?** A: INTEGRATED PALM REST is a KEY FEATURE of this, and is highly ergonomically welcome. **Q: How do you get lights to stay on?** A: It's maybe worth noting that the G213 keyboard lighting doesn't turn ON until Logitech's RGB software has fully loaded at startup on your PC. This confused me at first, because other brand lighted keyboards I've used have lighting as soon as I turn my PC on. **Q: Is the wrist rest removeable?** A: No, the wrist rest is not removable. It is also not a squishy wrist rest either it is made up of the same material as the rest of the keyboard. Although it is still comfortable for typing. Hope this helped. 😃 **Q: Can I set the backlight to one solid color?** A: Yes you have to get the companion rgb software it if you type in Logitech rgb software in google your should be able to find it. Download that and your can set a lot of stuff like color, patterns, and reactivity ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durability *by C***N on July 16, 2025* The speed, weight, response times, and stability of this keyboard are all spot on perfection. The G hub software is super easy to use and control the color of the keys. The keys also feel really good and sound nice when pressed down. Would buy again. Worth the price imo. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good keyboard replacement for the older 740 model. *by W***Y on December 3, 2025* My old keyboard is a Logitech is a backlit K740. I really like this keyboard and I still do. It works great and since it's wired USB I never have to worry about constant battery replacement. The problem was that after years of use it's beginning to show its wear. So I came back to Amazon looking for the same model - don't do that. You'll find them for $300. Crazy! So, what did I do? I bought this Logitech G213 Prodigy keyboard. I like it. The keys are tactile and easily used. The keyboard will default to a crazy adolescent rainbow color program. This was the only thing that gave me pause but I'm getting up there in age and the eyes aren't like they used to be and I really needed a backlit keyboard. So, here's the solution: I'm not sure what you would need to do if you're on a Windows environment. You'll need to do your research. However, I'm on Linux Mint and found that two simple commands allowed me to set the keyboard color to white. For you Linux users just open a terminal and install the g810-led app. To set your keys to white, the command is: g810-led -a ffffff. That's it. If you want to adjust the brightness of the backlight, the option is -b followed by a brightness percentaage. So, if you want to set the backlight to white and the brightness to be not so bright then enter: g810-led -a ffffff -b 50 This sets the color to white and the brightness to 50%. Easy. You can also set the function keys to a different color than the rest of the keyboard or any number of other options. Or, you can just let it do its crazy rainbow color shifting psychedelic randomness. Bottom line, once I gained control of the colors and the brightness, the keyboard was absolutely what I needed. The keys do sit a tad higher than the 740. But they feel good. The print is large enough to easily see and not obnoxiously large. For the kids, the keyboard has a game mode that disables some keys so gaming is not interrupted. This is done with the push of one button. It has a 10 key pad on the right plus some nicely positioned keys that control computer sound as well as video controls. The backlight can be toggled on and off with one button. The keyboard looks like it's constructed well and of Logitech high quality. It's a handsome board. I will hang on to my 740 though like a well used favorite shirt. It will sit in reserve in the event I need another board. But for this one, the price was right and it fit my needs. ## Frequently Bought Together - Logitech G213 Prodigy Gaming Keyboard, LIGHTSYNC RGB Backlit Keys, Spill-Resistant, Customizable Keys, Dedicated Multi-Media Keys – Black - Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse, HERO 25K Sensor, 25,600 DPI, RGB, Adjustable Weights, 11 Programmable Buttons, On-Board Memory, PC / Mac - KTRIO Large Gaming Mouse Pad with Superior Micro-Weave Cloth, Extended Desk Mousepad with Stitched Edges, Non-Slip Base, Water Resist Keyboard Pad for Gamer, Office & Home, 31.5 x 11.8 in, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/190137470-logitech-g213-prodigy-wired-rgb-gaming-keyboard-black](https://www.desertcart.is/products/190137470-logitech-g213-prodigy-wired-rgb-gaming-keyboard-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
