I would 100% use this as an adult for a costume. It's made of foam, but is very sturdy and has a surprising amount of weight to it. My 6yo uses it all the time and it hasn't broken. You will get some paint wear-and-tear - my son likes to drag it around behind him, so the tip isn't as shiny as it once was. But overall this thing still looks AMAZING and if I had a Kirito costume I would steal my son's sword for the afternoon in a heartbeat. It's held up incredibly well. You can't beat the price or the quality. 10/10 would recommend. If you're concerned about it breaking: yes, the handguards do stick out, but they shouldn't break with regular use. My 6yo and 7yo haven't managed to damage this thing at all. Misuse will break it though. I would stress to any young swordsman (kids lol) that if you use the handguards as axes or climbing gear they'll snap right off. Trying to force molded foam through tiny spaces will make it snap as well. Two kids actively sword fighting with this hasn't damaged it at all.

Bought it for Halloween. My daughter has been whacking me with it ever since. It’s soft enough to not cause any real harm but I wouldn’t let small children duel each other because it’s definitely sturdy and has a little weight.

I got this to customize for costume wear and light go LARP. First off, the color of this thing is terrible. I understand that it is supposed to be like that because that's what the sword it replicates looks like, but it's so bad for a sword. A sky blue sword? It's UGLY! But I knew that when I purchased it. So far it has held up to several light touch LARP sessions and several kids going nuts at each other with it and has held up, but I don't expect years of service if we keep on. That's not this swords intention from the factory. I can't hold them liable if it breaks and we were using it harshly. We gave this thing a custom paint job and it not only looks amazing, it feels great too. I would use this as a base for another custom costume sword without hesitation.

Larger than I was expecting as I didn’t read the dimensions. It was nice that it was made from a foam material, however, the tip of the sword broke off within the first couple of days. My kids did play with it a lot, however I expected it to not tear so quickly. Would still purchase again as the kids love it.

This sword is probably more compatable for a bigger older child or adult . It is a nice rubber sword but I may send it back because it probably isnt age appropriate for the child I ordered it for. My order came quickly and was well packaged . Overall no complaints on product or service

I love the sword! It's was a perfect addition to finish my Aasimar costume! The color and quality were beyond my expectations. My first sword was delivered broken, but the company had a replacement sent out to me in less than 2 days! I didn't have to go without for Halloween!!
