Much easier than a tape measure
Much easier to use than my old tape measure especially when measuring lengths over a few metres. It made measuring floor to ceiling height, so easy. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. It has a digital spirit level which wasn't obvious from the description. So far delighted and I would recommend.

Good but some small flaws
This ia a recent purchase and is the first laser meauring device I have bought or used. As such most flaws would not be apparent to anyone who has never handled such a device before. Pros: 1. Big enough to be handled but small enough to use one-handed. 2. Solid construction. 3. Large buttons. 4. Large and Clear display. 5. Accurate. 6. Easy to learn to use. 7. Digital real-time inclinometer. Cons: Oh boy. There are a number of flaws to this, and indeed any similar, device of comparable function. Probably because they almost all use the same design template with just a change in colour or logo to distinguish it from others. 1. The dedicated button for turning the system beep on or off is a waste. It doesn't even remember if it was on or off after the device itself is switched off. 2. Outdoors the laser light is not visible to human eyes beyond about 15 metres unless aimed at a dark and even-coloured surface, although it will still measure. Only tested on a nearby red-brick building during an overcast day, but it measured okay at 30 metres however it was difficult to aim properly due to the ambient light and reflectivity of the surface. Overall, providing you have a stable resting surface, it is easy and accurate to use indoors for general about-the-house situations. Without a suitable reflective surface and low-light conditions I would not recommend it for use in large builings or outside as it just does not have the power to make the aiming spot visible. Not such a problem if all you want is a rough measurement of distance to a large object, but any sort of real or delicate accuracy is not obtainable. If you want something to use indoors and at distances of 20 metres or less then I would suggest to buy something cheap that has a low range. 70 metres is overkill except under very specific conditions. As all such devices have a similar level of accuracy especially at shorter distances, then save some money. If you work in construction or anything outdoors than you MAY want something that is more powerful, but in that case just pay extra and get a proper professional ranging device. This is for the home DIY user and for such it is perfectly fine. The built-in inclinometer is a nice touch and not too commonly found. Probbaly any cheap device would suit you equally well as far as capability and accuracy is concerned, so concentrate of any specific functions that you require. I have seen some devices that cost 5 times as much but have nothing extra to reccomend them baring except being slightly better to look at and having a big-brand logo. Same functionality and accuracy but a much higher price. Because this item, while quite comprehensive in its abilities, is still at the cheaper end of the market, I would happily reccomend it. I have not had it long enough to comment on durability or battery life, but first impressions are good. Just buy a few rechargeable AAA batteries and a charger and you will be good to go. More than worth the 4/5 stars I have rated it as. Hope this was helpful.

A good addition to the tool box.
Excellent value for money, was bought to replace an eight year old electronic measure which had failed. Manufacturers repair cost was more than the cost of this item. Works very well, impressed with the built-in angle finder, a very useful addition to my tools.

Probably the most capable measuring device available
This is a quite astonishing piece of kit which I bought to replace a Bosch measure which only measured a single distance. This MiLLEESY measure not only measures the distance between two points but is capable of measuring heights and distances from two reference points to automatically calculate a third distance. The quality is excellent, as you would expect coming from Shenzhen, as is the accuracy. The measure is very easy to use and the screen clear and easy to read. It comes with a comprehensive instruction manual. It's limitations are precisely the same as any other of these measures. In strong sunlight or daylight its difficult to pick up where the red dot is. Similarly distance results in the same issue even though the beam is quite strong. Im delighted with it. I won't be losing this one!

Nice piece of kit...
Seems well made, solid, measures accurately. I'm using it to measure/install my own new kitched. I wanted to check all the measurements I had made with a tape measure and also make additional measures in different places e.g. length of room at floor level/ceiling level/half-way up. It's surprising how uneven your walls are! I should have bought one years. I cant do anything about my walls, but at least I'll know why, if I have to make adjustments to the new kitchen.

Difficult to see the spot outdoors
This measure works fine indoors. Accuracy is within the claimed 2 mm. Outdoors though it is very difficult to see the laser spot at more than a few metres away. For anything more than 5 m you need to wait until it is nearly dark. I could then get readings from a brick wall at 28 m. I am dubious about the claimed 70 m range. I don't think you would be able to see the spot at that distance even in pitch darkness , and even if you could I think you might need a more reflective surface than a brick wall to get enough signal back. The built in inclinometer is useful. You can measure the height of distant objects (e.g. a tree), even without being able to see the base, by using the auto level mode. You either need to measure from ground level or add the height of the measure to the displayed height reading.

Wow, why haven't I bought one sooner?
I bought this to measure some lengths longer than my tape measure. I've known they exist but just thought they were gimmicky. Oh how wrong was I! The unit is very easy to use and comes with batteries, so straight out of the box it is ready to go. I immediately tested against my own measurements and it is extremely accurate, way more accurate than you can be with bendy tape measures. Why is it so good? Its all the extra things you can do: - Records your measurements - Works out areas - tells you the height of something using pythag, so you just stand back from the object (a tree, or building), point to the top and then point to the bottom and it works it all out! - Continuous scan Max/Min mode... it will constantly scan and tells you the biggest and smallest lengths it finds Seriously cool piece of kit for the price. I'm going to be buying a load more as gifts now because I think everyone should own one.

In sintesi: uno strumento preciso, funzionale e completo. Perfetto per chi lavora nel fai-da-te, nelle ristrutturazioni o semplicemente vuole misurare spazi in modo rapido e professionale. Lo consiglio assolutamente!

Works well, but it's not fully accurate. On a 30cm distance, 2-3mm off.
