HP LaserJet Pro M477fdw All-in-One Wireless Color Laser Printer with Double-Sided Printing, Amazon Dash Replenishment Ready (CF379A)

(Review update 2 7/12/2016) - Updated star rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. Replacement printer received in January 2016 has worked great for the last 6 months. (As I had originally planned after reading the printer specs prior to purchasing the unit in 2015). I can easily recommend this printer for uses in a SoHo environment. Has worked well connected into a network supporting multiple Mac's and wireless devices, plus fax. Very pleased since correcting the initial problem. (Review update 1//11/2016) - Updated star rating to 3 stars from 1. The printer when it works is excellent. Service is playing catch up. Since initial review had 2 visits from HP On-site support. Very pleasant service technician. Although I was told by HP Tech Support that there is a 2 day onsite service warranty on this product, the service tech did not arrive until January 5...14 days after the original service schedule date. Tech was very apologetic. Said where it was a new product that there were not enough people familiar with it to service it in my area (plausible comment). The first onsite visit did not fix the product. The next day, the tech returned. Upon examination of the printers controller board, the tech asked me if I had purchased a new or refurb product... as it looked like a refurbished controller. (I had purchased a new printer from Amazon... more on that later). The tech got the product mostly working... but some features would not work. The tech suggested a call to tech support as she thought it might be software related. The tech also suggested a conversation with Amazon about the "new" status of my printer. I spoke with Amazon customer service directly. They confirmed that I had ordered a new printer. The Amazon customer service rep immediately ordered a replacement printer for me with expedited shipment. I have since installed the printer and it appears to be totally working (like the original printer when I first received it.) I was definitely taken aback by the HP Tech's comment on the original unit being a refurb, but Amazon instantly corrected that problem (to their credit). I updated my review to 3 stars from 1 star. The last printer functioned for 45 days... so we have a way to go before I can say we are without further problem. This printer when working is excellent. The form, fit, and function are very good. Assuming this is just an early adoption problem (the printer was just released in September 2015), and no further problems develop, I would be able to recommend this printer. (Original review) Installed printer November 7. Ethernet connection died 45 days later on December 21. Tried to get Wifi working but product would reset every time it went to sleep, erasing all of the program parameters. Contacted HP support. Tech could not trouble shoot over phone. Was told would have onsite warranty service within 2 days. Service call scheduled for December 23. Service was no call - no show. Escalated problem... Now told that because the product is new that it will be December 31 before any parts are shipped and some time in January before onsite service will repair. Totally unacceptable for a new product that is not supposed to be disposable and costs so much. Will create major headaches for my business during the holiday season. On the flip side... when the product was working it was great.... however if this is the level of support it gets, I am very concerned about its use in the future. Big HP Fail

I have had so many problems on this printer it is shocking. Here is my list off the top of my head: 1. Feeder stopped feeding correctly and jams with-in 6 months of purchase. I am stuck walking back and forth between my computer and my printer every page or two to get a document scanned. 2. When feeder jam printer is stuck thinking the paper is still in there when it is not which requires a shut off and restart.. 3. When printing it encounters some printing error which is displayed for a split second on the screen and disappears but does not print the document. 4. Once number 3 happens the printer will not print any document again until you not only do a restart but you actually have to unplug it and replug it before it will run correctly again. 5. My Mac computer sometimes does not seem to see the printer requiring a shut off and restart. 6. Setup printing but address only worked for a first few days and never worked since. 7. When scanning printer sometimes decides that the next page is a legal page so it saved pages that are too long requiring me to crop every single page after. 8. Ink is crazy expensive which I'm stuck using after market ink which sometimes does not work so well. Finally found a supplier that seems to work reliably. Would be better if I could buy HP ink with-out sacrificing my first born. Well that is the list just off the top of my head. When it works the quality is great but I am waisting my life trying to keep this printer running. I am not impressed.

***Update: I have had this printer for over 4 years now and even though I don’t do a lot of printing, I am very happy that I still have the original toner cartridges and they are still half full so the printer prints color every time I need it. So much better than replacing dried up ink cartridges every time I want to print color. I am kicking myself for not buying this printer a lot sooner. I cannot begin to tell you how much money I have wasted on ink jet printers over the years. It is not often I print in color so every single time I finally needed to print in color on any of the several ink jet printers I have thrown out. The ink was always dry and I had to complete several time consuming and painfully stressful steps just to print one color page. This machine payed for itself saving me so much money on wasted ink jet cartridges. I only print in color about once a month or so and every time I use this printer, it just prints in color immediately, no issues, no cleaning and realigning print heads no streaks or blotches. It just works... Finally, a product I can actually look forward to using. The touch screen controls are amazing too, simply click and swipe. The scanner is quick and high quality, the auto document feeder never jams. Loading and printing a single envelope is a breeze through the front paper feeder. The toner cartridges may be expensive to replace, but it has been over a year since I purchased this printer and I have barley used the toner that came with it. I prefer this color laser printer over ANY ink jet printer on the market and I have been through them all, literally.

Third set of toner and no issues. Great quality print and a surprising amount of pages per cartridge.

Excelente producto, funciona muy bien. Es económico en cuanto a la cantidad de toner que utiliza. Tiene múltiples formas de conectividad para mandar a imprimir

Hasta el momento estoy encantada con el producto, todavía no he probado toda su capacidad ya que tiene múltiples opciones de uso pero para mis necesidades en mi trabajo está súper completa y me facilita mucho más mi trabajo al poder usar todas las multi opciones que me brinda, estoy encantada

Muy buena impresora, el único defecto es el precio de sus tóners que es casi como comprarse otra impresora nueva.
