Buy a foot of clear tubing that fits over the nozzle and cut off what you need to extend the nozzle.

Will this product work on a 1000 gallon rubber water tank

I don't know for sure. It worked for my problem glueing rubber to plastic. It's good for glueing & sealing leaks as the commercial shows & it does come in different colors. I got the small can.

Need to use this on windows, couple reviews mentioned a smell... has anyone used this to seal bedroom windows and if so was the smell a problem/

Flex Shot should be used in a well ventilated area if used indoors. The smell will dissipate when dry. Many people have had great success using Flex Shot on their windows.

Would it work on convertible tops to glue the glass to the cloth top?

No you would want Flex Glue for that. Flex Shot is more like a caulk.
