I’ve been using this derma roller mainly for my beard, and I’m very satisfied with it. It doesn’t hurt and hasn’t irritated my skin at all. I do get some mild redness after using it, but that’s expected and it fades within a few hours. The needles feel smooth and well made, and it’s easy to use and clean. Overall, it feels gentle yet effective, and I’m comfortable continuing to use it as part of my beard routine.

I bought this after friend told me she’d had good results using a derma roller for improving her aging skin. I actually already own an expensive electronic microneedling device but I don’t use it much because there’s downtown and it’s a big process, especially if I numb with lidocaine first. I figured there wasn’t much to lose with the price point on this roller. I just use it a bit at night before bed when I apply any serums. Or sometimes I just use it dry. I maybe do it once or twice a week, or when I think about it, or when I feel like I see wrinkles looking more obvious. Occasionally I’ll be a little red or have a little bit of peeling the next day if I do too much, but usually not. The difference it makes is truly significant! I’ve been genuinely surprised and amazed. One place I like to use it is on my forehead, and it’s a weird sensation. I can hear the needles popping through the surface of the skin. It doesn’t really hurt though. I’ll go up and down like using a tiny paint roller and then over the same area side to side. I even close my eyes and gently do all over the lid surface and under the eye and quite a bit on the crows feet. Other places I hit are the naaolabial folds and all around my mouth and on the chin and the neck. Sometimes I hit the cheeks and jawline but those aren’t big problem areas for me. I would say this is really worth a try if you’re fighting wrinkles! I sterilize the roller with alcohol but I’ve learned I don’t even need to sterilize my skin since alcohol can be so drying and I’ve never had an issue.

I bought it because it helps products absorb better and at the same time stimulates the scalp. I'll be trying it out to see how it works. Remember to always disinfect it after each use.

Using for female menopausal hair loss, along with topical minoxidil. I’ve used it twice and am very happy with it. Also appreciate the storage case. I have another much more expensive dermaroller that snagged and pulled out my hair (kinda not the point here) so I was skeptical about even trying something else, especially a much less expensive one. But this one is smooth, doesn’t pull, snag, or even gently tug on my hair — perfect!! I did a ton of comparison and research, looking at reviews, etc. When I need to replace this one, I’ll come right back here to purchase another.

I tried this derma roller mainly to help with patchy beard growth, and while it didn’t cause any damage, I’m personally not a big fan of it. The needles are very small (0.25mm), and you barely feel them during use, which is a good thing for comfort. There was no pain or irritation in my experience. However, I’m not convinced that using this alone would actually help with beard growth, especially in patchy areas, without additional treatments. Another concern for me is the sanitation aspect. Even though the instructions recommend cleaning it with alcohol, the idea of reusing needles multiple times to create micro holes in the skin doesn’t fully sit well with me. Because of that, I stopped using it, and it’s now just sitting at home. This is more of a personal comfort and confidence issue, not a defect in the product itself. If you’re comfortable with microneedling and following strict cleaning routines, this may work for you. For me, the uncertainty outweighed the potential benefits.

Overall good product I ordered a .5mm on my screen when I ordered, yet somehow it changed to a .25. While I don’t feel the .25 is going deep enough to do much good overall I decided to try it with this one and reorder another. The handle is solid and comfortable, and the wheel seems to be very stable under pressure. There was no pain or anything due to the number of needles and everything it seemed to reduce the pain like ones with less. I’ll give this a 5/5 for face and beard maybe for 4/5 for my needs.
