Q: What type of wood do you use? I have the older Tolkien initials design. Also what type of filters fit into it because there is nothing in there now.

It is a non filter pipe, it will not take any of the standard filters but possibly would take a handmade teen wood or the imitation crystal.

Q: What is the recommended filter for this pipe?

None of the filters I have 9mm or 6mm fit.

Q: Are you able to get a pipe cleaner fully through the upper mouthpiece ? I can't seem to clean mine well.

It’s a snug fit but the pipe cleaners from my joyoldelf kit work perfectly.

If you use the small straight pipe cleaners NOT the tapered they will work.
