NeoTech Care Ice Bag, Screw Top Fillable, Reusable (Blue Design, 11 inch)

I’ve owned many ice bags, but this is the best one. It is large, about the size of a dinner plate. Filled with small cubes of ice or crushed ice, it will bring relief to a large area. It doesn’t leak. The screw top cap seals easily and thoroughly, unlike the caps on other brands of ice bags. The material is soft, and does not have a weird rubber odor. It stays cold a very long time. If you have a chronic injury that you need to ice regularly, this is the ice pack you’ve been looking for. Plus, the design is cute!

Very nice, large but not too large ice bag. Using it after hip replacement where it is important to keep my bandage dry. It does not leak or sweat and is very nice quality fabric. The colors and patterns are fun and the yellow banana pattern is super cute and bright.

My ER nurse son-in-law recommended ice in bags for my icing needs after knee replacement surgery. And he was right. I didn’t want some drippy plastic bags of ice so I looked for a solution on Amazon. These ice bags are SO MUCH BETTER than any plastic bag and those flat ice packs that are sold for icing injuries etc. I tried one of those flat ice packs and it was murder on my incision. Knee surgery leaves you with an incision that extends a few inches over the top of your knee. You definitely don’t want pressure on it. So what I do is put a little water in the ice bag and add lots of ice. I suggest finding the right size ice that will fit in the opening of the screw top. It wasn’t an issue. I draped the ice bag over my knee and it never was a problem as far as hurting my incision. And the ice lasts a long time too. Since it is round, you should expect it to roll a little but you just need to position it correctly. Changing the position to ease your pain is simple and since it stays cold for a very long time, you are good to go. Remember to only keep it on for 20 minutes at a time. It stays cold for so long you can just place it back over your incision or injury without having to put it in the freezer. The one I got was 11 inches wide and holds well over an ice cube tray of ice and the water. I can use it in the future for most any painful injury or after surgery. It’s wonderfully flexible for draping over my knee and probably any rounded areas of the body. It’s the most effective and long lasting icing method I used.

No leaks so far, and ZERO sweating. This thing is awesome for sore shoulders/neck area, as well as behind the neck and the back itself. The material is very soft and pliable. I also got the blue one with the tiny white snowflakes at the same time and this one is softer, but I am keeping both. As a side note, I had to wash it because it had that Amazon detergent/disinfectant stink on it. I then left it in the sun for 30 minutes to also help with the smell as I am VERY sensitive to smells. That process worked like 95% and I'm sure the tiny bit left will eventually fade.

I have an ice bag very similar to this one, but mine is antique and the plastic interior is all cracked due to age. I still want to keep it because it's a cool thing, though I may pass it off to someone who collects antique medical implements. Anyway, I got this new ice bag because I have a tooth abscess and I much prefer using a real ice bag instead of using a bag of frozen corn. My tooth abscess has improved and I don't need this ice bag anymore, but I'm still glad I got it because it's such a basic item which every household should have. I'm pleased with the quality, everything looks really good and I even like the cute print of the fabric, eventhough I don't usually like the offerings of patterns you would typically find for other items, such as shower bonnets. These patterns are cute and "livable," though. This is really a great ice bag and the different size choices are wonderful, too, and I highly recommend this ice bag!!!

Nice ice pack for little kids. Comes in handy when ice is needed to relieve pain.

If you use 1cup rubbing alcohol to 2 cups water and just make small adjustments until you get it where you want, you can have an amazing large freeze gel pack for WAY cheaper than the crappy gel packs. My daughter and I love these. We each have our own. Also they stay really cold for a long time!

I was so happy to find a smaller ice bag on Amazon, because find a refillable ice bag of any size in Sweden has proved to be rather difficult now that I needed one. I bought this size specifically for TMD jaw inflammation and cracked teeth pain due to an acute clenching injury and found that frozen gel packs wouldn’t conform to my face and jaw until they were more thawed out and by then weren’t as helpful for the pain and inflammation. This ice bag here, conforms to my jaw easily and if you add water with ice, it does spread the cooling evenly where applied. I also made sure to test the item first with just cold tap water, screwed the lid on properly and then held it in multiple positions and even upside down and there were absolutely no leakage. I no this should be a no brainer for most people, but I have read in reviews of similar products that some users had issues with using them with warm or hot water, please DO NOT use an ice bag such as these for hot water, they are not made for that and you will injure yourselves, if you need heat, buy a hot water bottle certified to be used with very hot water. I say this as a public service, as some people may not know there is a clear difference. But back to the review, I love this ice bag as I can’t take pain medicine due to IBD, so ice bags are a lifesaver when you experience such pain. I highly recommend it.

I'm very glad I purchased this product, after recently suffering with a back injury I was using zip lock bags to fill with ice but quickly got fed up with the condensation/leaking soaking clothes/bedding over time. I did also want to move away from single/few use plastics and get something I can keep permanently for future use. I went with the medium (8 inch) which has worked well and holds a deceptively large number of ice cubes and I think is a good all-rounder size for a first aid box, however I propbably would have gotten the largest size in hindsight for my back injury. Small/medium would likely be best suited for limb/head injuries. The design (banana) is cute and the material is good quality. I saw a few reviews stating that the bag doesn't adjust in shape around injuries well and others saying that the cold doesn't come through the bag much, but personally I found the bag to very easily fit around limbs/back and the cold came through quickly.
