Walnut Hollow Thick Rustic Basswood Plank, 8-12" Wide x 16" - for Wood Burning, Home Décor, and Rustic Weddings

Very thick and smooth for painting a winter scene on it.

Bought this to do a relief carving. Was concerned as some said they received a piece not true to size, the one I received was as described. It was 16" long, the short edge was 14" widening to 16" (obviously not rectangular) which was sufficiently sized for my purposes. The thickness was exact at 1 5/8". There was a dark stripe across the middle (darkened center of the tree trunk) with a small knot on one side that would have interfered with the carving but it did not run through the whole thickness so I just used the other side which was clean. Good buy for my needs.

Ordered this to make sign using wood burning. It was so nice and smooth, one side was very plain and the other side had some knots and character! Perfect for what I needed.

This is a nice slab of wood for transfer vinyl. It’s very well sanded and clean.
