That is actually better I think. The sheath has screw inserts so you can orient the belt clip in either direction. It would have been nice if you could have reoriented it to the other side so you can wear it on the left or right. As for the tool itself, it feels solid and will likely stand up to some abuse. The blade is sharp. The chisel end is not really very sharp but that isn't a cutting edge.
