It is okay definite butter taste. A little artificial taste! Maybe I used too much? Used to flavour buttercream for butterbeer frosting.

I tried adding this to cookies and although it does have a butter flavour and scent, it was a bit too artificial for my taste.

I have to agree with an earlier review. I used this in potato soup. The smell and taste was awful. My kitchen stinks and the soup tasted rancid. Had to throw it out! Don't spoil your food!

Great for adding that buttery flavour to white 'buttercream' icing made with vegetable fats.
