Designed to increase horsepower, improve throttle response, and enhance overall engine performance, this premium intake delivers cooler, denser air that helps your engine produce more efficient combustion and stronger acceleration. Whether you're towing, commuting, or exploring off the beaten path, you'll enjoy a noticeable improvement in performance every time you press the throttle.Maximize Airflow Efficiency: Factory intake systems can restrict airflow and limit your engine's potential. Rough Country's free-flowing intake design relocates the air filter away from the hot engine compartment, allowing it to draw in cooler outside air. Combined with a large-diameter intake tube and high-flow cylindrical filter, this system dramatically improves airflow over the factory airbox, helping your engine breathe easier for increased power, efficiency, and responsiveness.Premium Reusable Air Filter: Each intake includes a high-flow, washable, and reusable performance air filter engineered to provide exceptional filtration without sacrificing airflow. Simply clean, re-oil, and reinstall the filter to maintain peak performance while eliminating the recurring cost of disposable replacement filters.Simple Bolt-On Installation: Upgrade your vehicle with confidence. This intake system is engineered for a straightforward installation using factory mounting locations, requiring no cutting or permanent modifications. Spend less time in the garage and more time enjoying the added performance.Built to Last: Constructed from premium-quality materials, Rough Country's Cold Air Intake is built to withstand the heat, vibration, and demands of both daily driving and off-road adventures. Durable construction ensures dependable performance mile after mile.Optional Pre-Filter Protection: For drivers who frequently encounter dust, sand, mud, or other harsh environments, an optional pre-filter bag is available to provide an additional layer of protection. This accessory helps shield the reusable air filter from excessive debris, extending cleaning intervals while maintaining excellent airflow.Limited Lifetime Replacement Warranty: Backed by Rough Country's Limited Lifetime Replacement Warranty, this Cold Air Intake delivers the performance, durability, and confidence you expect from a trusted name in off-road performance.Notes: ONLY fits 4.8L ,5.3L, 6.0L, & 6.2L engines. NOT for sale in California or other states adopting carb regulations. Review: Sounds Good, Slighter Better Fuel Efficiency - This thing is great. I replaced a cracked OEM setup, and it doesn't really seem louder to me. It's also very deep-sounding and makes driving a lot more fun. I got a few extra miles; I went from 14 to 15 miles per gallon on my commute as well. It also feels a bit stronger, though I don't have a dependable way to measure horsepower with my setup. I will say that if you are in a storm or rain, be cautious, as since this design is more open than OEM, there is probably a higher chance of pulling water from outside of the hood. Review: Works fine on my 2012 gmc sierra - Exactly what it says it is ## Features - Increase Power & Performance: Free-flowing intake design delivers cooler, denser air to help increase horsepower, improve throttle response, and provide stronger acceleration. - Maximize Airflow Efficiency: Large-diameter intake tubing and a high-flow cylindrical filter improve airflow over the restrictive factory airbox, helping your engine breathe easier and perform more efficiently. - Washable & Reusable Air Filter: Premium high-flow filter provides excellent filtration without restricting airflow and can be cleaned, re-oiled, and reused for long-term performance. - Simple Bolt-On Installation: Engineered to use factory mounting locations with no cutting or permanent modifications required for a straightforward performance upgrade. - Built for Lasting Performance: Premium materials withstand engine heat, vibration, daily driving, and off-road use for dependable performance mile after mile. Dont bother, restricts air flow, really lugs down low rpms and kills gas mileage. Go with a name brand that comes with at least a generic tune option. You ill pay for it but won't regret **Q: Will this fit in a 2009 GMC sierra 5.3L V8?** A: Yes, the filter box requires so modifying (two holes being drilled) but other than that it should take 10 minutes to install **Q: Does the filter take a special cleaning kit?** A: No **Q: Is this compatible with the mass air flow?** A: Yes remove from old setup and install and new tube. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sounds Good, Slighter Better Fuel Efficiency *by J***M on August 26, 2026* This thing is great.
