She just drinks it straight and cold, but drinks plenty of water during the day. And she says she actually likes the taste of it. The doctors had to ascites paracentenes because I could not breathe....unfortunately I had to go to emergency to take water out from tummy every week because building up water constantly.....oncologist was going to surgery right away but sudden he changed his mind to start a chemo first to reduce tumor before surgery .....about 2 times after chemo....no more ascites....naturally dispeared. After 3 times chemo the oncologist doctor decided to surgery and 3 times more chemo I was being treated. While this does not completely invalidate the benefits of the tea, it is better when whole plant Sheep Sorrell, including 25% root is used. For the person challenging this with regards to the handwritten recipe, that is correct that it was not included on the recipe. However, Barbara Kokotsis, who provided herbs to Rene Caisse and was a recipient later of the instructions and handwritten letter verified via interview in the early 80's that the whole plant was essential. Not including the root doesn't invalidate, it is just much more effective for cancer patients when this portion is included. It also increases the cost of the product to use whole plant v. only leaves and stems, therefore, many companies do not to keep cost down. **Q: How does this compare to other Essiac Teas?** A: Hey Doug, I haven't tried anything premade. With this product (the directions are on the package) you basiclly make your own tea and there is enough product to make over 2 gallons of tea in each package. I have been plauged with skin cancer for over 30 years and it is almost completely eradicated ofter 3 months use. In addition to drinking it I also wipe it directly on my face. Really like a miracle.
