Good Buy for the money!!
This looks good on my Jeep and much sturdier than the factory mount. I should have done this awhile ago. A couple of things. I did take the door off the hinges but not completely removed as I didn't want to take all the wiring off so that was not that easy. The other thing is I mounted the bracket to the door without the original mount on first. Then I realized why you should add the factory mount to the brace and then to the door because you can't get to some of the bolts to attach it after. I managed to get most but still have 2 at the bottom that will be a rainy Saturday project. It's still very sturdy. Also when I got it all together I opened the door and the rear door check tailgate stopper popped out. So be careful to check the position of that when you reattach it. I'll fix that later as well. Im not even sure I need it since the new brackets come with one. Overall I love it!!

Tyger makes great products no doubt
By now I am a huge fan of Tyger products and couldn't wait to get this carrier kit on my Jeep. This carrier kit is strong, fairly easy to install, and well finished as always. I opted not to go through the hassle of re-installing my third brake light as I've upgrade my stock tire carrier some time ago and it couldn't fit anyways at that time. My one and only dislike is that the hinges on the carrier kit have no stop and the carrier itself doesn't include any kind of tailgate swing stop. I am very careful to not over extended the gate opening so that the wires going through the tailgate do not rip out, but I know it's just a matter of time before I'm parked on a hill or get caught off camber and need to open the gate. IMO Tyger sometimes leaves a little something to be desired when it comes to designing their products aesthetically, as many of the necessary stock hardware on the Jeep that cannot be removed shows through/around/under their products, but this carrier kit doesn't seem to suffer from anything aesthetically displeasing that I could see. I am not able to find a picture to post as my tire completely covers it in everything I have but I highly recommend this carrier kit. Another winning product by Tyger!

Pretty good for the price
This tire carrier is a less expensive than other brands but it seems to be pretty good. The bolts that go into the tailgate are ridiculously long. They don't push on the inside of the tailgate, but they are right up against it. It's doing good job of holding my 35" BFG KO2 spare. I haven't noticed any rattling or noises coming from it and the spare seems to be very secure. The tailgate is a lot heavier now, but it still functions normally. I didn't use the third brake light extension and the brake light is still visible above my tire. This mount did raise the spare height by a few inches and got it up off the rear bumper, but that does further reduce the already small view I have out of my hardtop.

Absolutely Solid
I have a basket mounted over the tire, and tire, basket, and contents simply didn't look or feel like they were going to stay on at any given time. This supports the tire, basket, 60" Hi-Lift jack, and tailgate, instead of the tailgate doing the heavy work. One of the main reasons I got this is because the basket I have mounts behind the stock tire carrier, and it fits exactly the same as it did on this. Without the basket mounted, the new LT285/70-17 spare worked just fine. With the basket mounted, it didn't (it barely held a stock tire anyway), and I had to add an extension. Even with the extra leverage, it barely vibrates when I close the tailgate. The only issue I had with installation was getting the washers and nuts onto the back side of the bolts while mounting the tire carrier. Welded nuts would make installation a touch easier, but would add cost, and make adjustment impossible. The instructions were easy to follow, and were sufficiently illustrated. I wish all Jeep accessories had instructions like these. Just make sure you don't miss a step and you'll be fine. If you choose to use the 3rd brake light extension, you might need longer leads. I don't need it, but the stock wire was barely long enough for the brake light without the extension. Your mileage may vary, but I'd buy this again. If I had another Wrangler.

Install the spare tire mount first
I should have listened to Michael H review. It is a pain to install the mount later. Everything was there no shortages if any bolts. After opening the door a few times, I ripped off the door stopper. It’s just plastic It will make some noise until it breaks. I plan to replace it as the hinge has a built in limit on door travel. I looked at a lot of these units and this one fits the budget and works well

Junk
Did not support my 35’s I continued to have tailgate rattle and took it to a professional and stated I needed a more sturdy mount. The coating on this thing was not great, easily scrapped off. I expected more at this price point but it waisted money now. Run! Pay for better quality.

Good value
I gave a 5 star because for the price it seems well made and I won’t ding the seller or product for the few shortfalls, it’s worth the price. A few things that could be better: I watched the video and read the directions, they are not the same. First, mount the spare tire rack to the carrier before putting on the door not after, it’s a pain. Second, don’t cut the tail light bracket to extend without realizing you will have to cut/splice the wiring harness. I have a 36” tire and the brake light is visible without extending the frame and the harness plug barely reached the hole to run inside the door. Third, don’t tighten the hinge brackets down to the rear until after you’ve mounted the door. Leave a little play for the hinges to fit together and place hinge bolts. Shut the door and get it lined up then tighten the right boots down tight. That will hold your alignment. Then open the door and tighten the other bolts. Fourth, if you have the spare tire bumpers you will have to relocate the right one to the new carrier. This kit does not come with a plug for the hole where the tire bumper was and will subject your rear door to the elements. I would buy this product again. My door no longer sags and my problem is solved for less than the price of the others I had looked at.

I am running 35” tires on my Jeep and this tire carrier is unbelievably strong. It is easy to install and it is great looking.

Seriously heavy duty…which also means seriously heavy, but by far superior to the stock system and I’m confident it will stand the test of time. Fairly easy install, pay attention to where you need the shims and it’ll sit nice and flush with the body.

Siguiendo las instrucciones y el video y con un kit de herramienta desente, se ensambla fácilmente.
