Reliable, Gentle, and Consistent — My Go-To Bleach
I’ve been using Arctic Fox bleach for years now, and honestly, it’s the only bleach I trust on my hair. I use it about every three months to keep up my icy blonde look, and it’s never caused breakage or serious damage — which is impressive for a bleach product. What I love most is how gentle yet effective it is. I can lighten my hair safely up to a pale blonde, and while I always get my ends trimmed after each application (just to keep things healthy), the bleach itself hasn’t compromised the strength or texture of my hair. The kit comes with everything you need: the cream bleach, 35-volume developer, and latex-free gloves. The bleach has a violet base, which helps tone down some of that initial yellow you get when lightening — though I still use a blue or purple toning shampoo afterward for that final icy finish. I also appreciate the added ingredients like açaí, cocoa butter, sunflower oil, and papaya extract, which give the formula a more nourishing feel compared to harsher bleach kits. It doesn’t feel as drying or aggressive during or after processing. And of course, the fact that it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and supports animal welfare is a huge bonus for me. It's nice to support a brand that aligns with my values while delivering real results. Bottom line: If you're looking for a bleach that’s effective but not damaging, this is absolutely worth trying. It’s beginner-friendly, consistent, and delivers salon-worthy lightening at home.

My favorite lightening kit!
I absolutely love this lightening kit! I have a hard time finding products that I like as I’ve been to cosmetology school and don’t want super harsh products on my hair. I know how well quality salon products work so it’s hard finding something that compares. (To clarify, I was just shy of graduating when someone extremely close to me died and I wasn’t allowed a leave of absence. I couldn’t get it together to continue with school so I didn’t graduate. So I have tons of hair knowledge & talent, but no means to get salon grade products) I have used the manic panic amplified kit and it worked really well, but left my hair super damaged. This kit is the one I come back to every time I want to lighten my hair! (I’ve bought it 5 times in 3 years, lol) I know some people have complained about the oils and how it was hard to wash out of their hair…I did not have this issue and I have very fine, thin hair. My hair is naturally a level 5 or 6 with some reddish hue to it. I tend to pull brassy regardless of what bleach I use, but I always use toner & my hair is always a very nice blonde! I’ve used this kit to do an ombré look & also to do from root to ends blonde. Every time it has turned out a beautiful blonde w/very minimal damage! I feel like that says a lot when it comes to bleach! It also doesn’t smell horribly bad like most bleach does. I’ve never experienced burning or any scalp agitation even though it says not to apply directly to your scalp. I feel like you can apply it to your roots without caking it on your scalp and it not give you any issues. Some tips: *follow the directions!!* -check your hair often for the color you are wanting to achieve. If you have super dark hair, it is better to rinse, tone, and wait a week or two before reapplying instead of leaving this on an excessive amount of time and severely damaging your hair. -have everything you need around you so you can apply quickly. 35 volume developer lifts quickly so you want to work as quick as possible. -when applying to your roots, apply that area last. The heat from your head will speed up processing and if you apply it all at the same time you will end up with hot roots (your roots will be way lighter than the rest of your hair). Also, don’t apply directly to your scalp. The product will warm and spread and “melt” into your root area so applying all the way down will get it on your scalp quicker which could make it agitated. -if you’re going for an ombré look, feather the part that will be against the darker hair so that you won’t have a harsh line and it will blend more into the lighter color for a smoother look -I buy foils and apply those when I lighten strands because my hair seems to have a hard time lifting (possibly because I use Ion level 3-4 regularly) -don’t add heat with a dryer of any kind -wear an old shirt because I have noticed it drips as processing goes on and your head warms the bleach -have your toner ready to do when you rinse so you can apply it and also add a conditioning treatment For safe measure -always wear your gloves. The bleach eats your skin up and will leave you with super dry fingertips if you don’t -part your hair before you mix the bleach. If you aren’t mixing all of it then you can mix it to the consistency you prefer. I usually try to go with like a marshmallow Cream consistency

Great on my 2c curls
Very easy to use at home with clear instructions. I used it on my naturally curly 2c hair and it lightened well without damage. Great kit!

Good stuff for a beginner DIY
First of all: I am NOT a professional. This was my first time using bleach all over my head, at home. The first pic was my hair prior to the Arctic Fox bleach (it was bleached last year around this time and all the dark was my natural color). The second pic was my hair the day after bleaching. And the third pic was after I used a blue violet toner. I have fine hair and my my hair can take a beating lol. I will need to do a couple more rounds of bleach over time. Pros: + user friendly cream formula + smells nice, nothing too strong + not super drying + comes with gloves + decent amount of product if you have an average amount of hair Cons: - 35 vol...if you care about your hair, please, for the love of God, watch this very carefully as it will process very fast especially if your hair was already chemically lightened - filled with oils which can leave your hair very sticky and gunky if you have a finer texture or naturally oily hair...two shampoos will be needed - if you have thicker or longer hair, you will definitely need two packages - lightener is VERY thick so I would recommend cutting open the bottle and scraping it out then breaking the lumps up prior to mixing in the developer so you get an even texture - because the vol is 35, you run the risk of being burned on your skin, so please avoid your scalp if you are more sensitive... you can use a lesser volume on your roots if this burns too much Some tips if you've never done this before (and things I wish I would have done): > section your hair into four, if you have more hair or thicker hair, do more than 4 so you have an easier time applying > work in small sections to ensure even application > avoid your scalp and roots..only apply bleach to your roots during the last like 5 to 10 minutes of processing, as the heat from your head will make the bleach process faster and give you "hot roots" if you leave it on too long > if you want to make sure you get the most even application possible, rinse the bleach out from your shaft and ends then go back in and reapply the bleach on your roots so you guarantee every spot gets product on it > get a hair color mixing bowl and an application brush, trust me, it's much easier > if you're not using all of the bleach in one session, make sure you're using the correct ratio of developer and lightener provided in the instructions > discard any unused bleach, especially after 45 minutes (bleach will lose its potency after this long) > check your hair integrity every five minutes... I like to pull gently on the strands to make sure it's not getting gummy or breaking off > get someone to help you do the back of your head, you don't want to have to redo the bleach again in one spot > don't use heat... this will develop really quickly and adding any kind of heat will expedite processing which increases likelihood of damage if you're not quick enough > keep track of your time, and don't leave this on past the suggested time limit Would I buy this again? No, for two reasons. First, the volume is way too high for repeat use. This is better if you're dark haired and need to lift a few shades very quickly. Going forward, 20 vol or less. Second, the oils are way too heavy for my hair. It was hard to wash out, although it kept my hair hydrated. I had to shampoo twice to get it all out of my hair. Do I recommend this for a beginner or someone who wants to bleach really fast? Sure, but only if they read the instructions and do a test strand first. It's a great product overall. I dinged a star for the oil situation.

Heard great things about this product and how quick it lifts hair. I was aware it was 35 developer. However, It was way too harsh on my hair. Left my hair in a bad state. Beware, stay safe and use a less harsh box bleach like Garnier.
