Will it keep a police dog from smelling pot? I'm asking for a friend...

Honestly 90% of the effectiveness of drug dogs is the quality of the officer's profiling skill. Watch any video on youtube of a drug dog sniffing a car, any time they "alert" the car, the cop is usually giving them a cue. The cop ALREADY knows what you have before he brings the drug dog out, the dog is just there to manufacture legal probable cause. The best defense is to obviously not smell like weed, and to always just calmly talk and act like you're not doing anything wrong... because you're not.

The item is labeled as 2 12"x20" bags, but the description says "Multi pack contains: 1 each of 7 x 7, 9 x 10, 12 x 20". Can you clarify? Thanks

I got 2 12x20 bags when I ordered. Wish they did came in the multi size option.

Was this actually tested against bears?

Bears will go through these sacks faster than the side of your tent.

If this is taken on a longer hike (~5-6 months), how long can this expect to remain water/air tight with daily use?

The first thing to fail will be the closure, which is not very robust. I use these bags on wilderness trips, inside ursacks, where I open them 4-5 times a day. To be on the safe side I replace the bags after 15-20 days, depending on how good the closure feels.
