Good filter for the price! Easy to install and replace, when it's time to do it. Has held up well since purchase

This is the first time that I have replaced my OEM air filter since having purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator. The manual calls for Air Filter Order Part #W10311524. I purchased this replacement air filter back in June 2015 directly from Amazon (seller) and I'm very satisfied with it. I think it does help reduce the odor in the fridge. It may not always be apparent as to whether it is working or not because the contents of my fridge is constantly changing but I believe (and I want to believe) that it does make a difference. I'm used to having a box of baking soda sitting in my fridge but now I only have a box in the freezer. I like it...alot. It's probably a very under-appreciated accessory item and the high price certainly doesn't help! I doubt that it costs the manufacture that much to make but the markup is a wee mental! Anyway, the filter is very easy to install and matches the original one that I replaced so it just snaps right in as expected. Too bad the entire unit has to be replaced and not just the carbon filter piece because I just hate putting more plastic into landfills but it is what it is! I wish that my fridge control panel would tell me when to replace the air filter (like it does the water filter) but I'm stuck with a snap tab that comes with the air filter that I have to press to activate (which I don't care for and don't know how to keep from falling down the darn slot!). Overall, I do like the built in air filter and I think it really does work! Were it not so expensive, I would replace my air filter more often. However, as it stands now, I will just "try" to replace it every six months. I'd give it a 4.8/5.0! - 08/11/2015

Not available at Home Depot, so purchased on line. More expensive than I would have liked, but what are you going to do? Seems to work okay (no smells, and I don't need to use boxes of baking soda, so saving a few dollars there.

OEM product. These are not always readily available in big box stores.

Fits as described.

Absorbs odors for months

My Fridge always smells fresh even with onions and garlic in it using these filters. I started using these ten years ago but I wanted to save some money. Amazon had some for less than halve what Whirlpool wanted, not authentic. I made a Big Mistake trying to save money and had to live with a smelly fridge. The cheap ones do not work. My Fridge stunk until I got the Whirlpool filters. Make sure that you get authentic replacements. Always buy the authentic Whirlpool products and do not try to save money, you will regret it.

Simple air filter for our Kitchen Aid fridge which fit nicely into the fridge filter slot. The price was excellent, and I could not find the filter for this price. These filters were almost impossible to find in local stores, and were extremely expensive to order from them once I found a store that had a supplier. This filter came in a small bag, and arrived quickly from Amazon. The build quality appeared the same as the filter I removed from my fridge. This filter also came with two "tags" that can be inserted with a fridge "freshener" Fresh Flow suction cup. I didn't need extra, but I will keep them around in the event I need some in the future. The only CON I have is that the plastic packaging around the filter was "cheap" and was not able to be recycled. In 2016, I expect most companies to consider every part of their products and how it affects the life cycle of the materials used. It would be nice if the packaging was recyclable. Conclusion: Easy order for a fridge air filter which is otherwise hard to find. If you need one, save the head ache of calling all the local stores and have it shipped to your home by amazon. Order a few to get free shipping!
