(4/5) Perfect for two people backpacking, but will put a dent in your wallet
As a survivalist and avid outdoor person, I find this MSR Titan 2 to be wonderful in many ways. Like my title states, it's great for two people where it provides two pots (one 1 Liter and one 1.5 Liter), a lid that can be used as a plate, and a lightweight pot clamp. With the total weight of 10.9 ounces, this pot set is barely noticeable when you add it to you pack; for the long hikes, your legs and back will thank you!Now aside from the lightweight titanium that everyone knows about, how well does it heat up/cook food/boil water? (By the way, I am using the MSR Dragonfly as listed here:ย MSR Dragonfly Stove When it comes to heating up, titanium heats up faster than steel since titanium conducts heat very well. But titanium does not heat evenly so when you're cooking solid food in the pot, you need to move the food around frequently. As for boiling water, it boiled a 0.5 Liter volume faster than my steel pot.Of all the positives, I must say that there are three things that disappoint me. The first thing that disappoints me is the price (not exactly everyone can afford such a thing, but to me and in the long run, I find this valuable since it weighs so little and everyone knows each ounce counts on long trails). The second thing that disappoints me is where it's made; yes, it's made in Thailand (not a place where I'd expect for an MSRP of $140, especially when other titanium pots are cheaper and are made in Japan like *Snowpeak!). And Lastly, the handle. Wait a minute, there isn't a handle at all! It's just a clamp that you could easily lose! I really do wish that they would've incorporated a handle on the pot instead of the tiny clamp. Anyhow, I digress, back to my review. Here are my pros and cons:Pros:- Lightweight (Cumulative weight: approx. 10.9oz)- Tough (resists a lot of dents and minor scratches)- Simple design (nothing is wasted here)Cons:- Price (Although I didn't get it for $140, just wait when Amazon posts a cheaper amount or even go on a "bidding site")- The pot clamp this set comes with is very very small and light so if you misplace it, chances are, it will be lost foreverrr (I tied a lanyard on it to prevent this)- Is not non-stick so bring oil with you when cookingSo I ultimately gave this (4/5) stars because I don't exactly love it but I really really like it; it's more of a (9/10) in my honest opinion. If you are looking for a light and strong pot set for two people, this is a perfect choice. But don't hesitate to do some more research to see if you'd like to get the *Snowpeak titanium set instead as listed here:ย Snow Peak 3 Piece Titanium Cook Set If you also want a size up for MSR Titan, they make a 2 Liter pot as listed here:ย MSR Titan 2-Liter Pot Set Don't hesitate to ask me any questions about this product. Thanks for reading this review. Cheers!

slightly smaller
I was hoping this would be the exact same size as the MSR alpine 2. its not, which is disappointing.1.5liters vs 2litersThankfully all the modern silicon bowls, cups measuring spoons and the titanium short handle sport fit with the lid handle. so I will retire the alpine 2 to camping trips where someone needs one.Sadly I loose a mixing bowl and some space for mre heater packs.over two decades of camping with the msr alpine 2, but reducing the weight down is a massive advantage.

MSR Titanium camping pots are my absolute favorite. Light, durable, and they clean up pretty well with a piece of stainless steel wool on the trail.

Not having handles is a pain.
I like these pots but not having handles is very inconvenient. I just know that someday I will be out on the trail and wonder where is my little red pot gripper?

Oh boy what a disappointment! Can't return it because it's been used at the trail and is stained now, otherwise it would be going back.Titanium may be light and strong but: it does not conduct heat well at all, leaves a bad metallic taste on food and everything (even sauce sticks - better said bonds permanently - to it).The heat conductivity is so bad that I never used the handle, actually not even my cooking bandana. I simply help the pot with my bare hands while stirring mac and cheese on my gas stove. Also because the torch is concentrated in the middle of the pan, it made a permanent mark/stain at the metal (probably what gave my food the metallic taste - I guess I am titanized now). Finally, none of the pots including the lid have a straight bottom (they have a dent) which makes stirring food harder and hinders the lid useless as a potential frying pan. One of the worst products out there (especially considering the price).
