Replacement Keyless Entry Key Fob Case Cover fit for BMW 1 3 5 Series E90 E92 E93 X5 X6 Z4 E90 Key Fob Shell

My key was run over by a car and deformed a lot. This was perfect replacement for the damaged plastic. In side was fine and just cut open old case and moved electrical part to new one. Electronics works just fine opening doors trunk and locking. Only issue is new logo was too thick and stuck in the slot in the dash. I removed it and used the original log from the old case. All fit fine.

Great fit, protects my aging key fob and still allows signal to transmit without interference. Has a nice grippy, silicone feel to it. Decent price. I highly recommend this key fob cover.

Pros and Cons... First the pros: I like the color and feel of it, and it arrived quickly. It installed easily as well. Cons: In order for it to be useful as a key fob protector, you would be able to use the key that it's protecting. It actually stops your ability to use the key in the car... at least in my 2015 BMW X1. In order to start the car, you need to push the key into its slot in the dashboard, which requires you to remove the key from its protector. It's just too dang thick.

After 12 years, the battry in my wife's fob was dying. Since the battery is "not replaceable", the only option the dealer gave was to buy a new key fob (100's of dollars). Look online and you'll find plenty of instructions how to open the old fob, unsolder the coin battery and install a new one. Battery is amazon part B0918QR7N5. in the process, however, you're likely to destroy the plastic fob case. Rather than trying to glue it back together, I just bought this one. It snaps together just fine. The old key fits perfectly. (I don't have a use for the blank they they include.) The only problem is that occasionally you have to give a little extra tug to get it out of the ignitiion. (If this goes away after a couple months, I'll come back and update the review.) Still, we've got a new looking fob with a new battery for under $50.

This was a great affordable way to make the car feel nicer, you can have everything else polished up but a dinged up key will make you feel like you're driving a dinged up car. It's easy to swap out the interior chip to the new fob case, seemed durable enough and felt close to the original, it is just a plastic case after all. The logo was on the key fob for me despite being blurred on the image.

This review is specifically for the 2-pack of silicone covers. I think these reviews are a bit misleading since there are very different types of covers in this 1 product listing. But anyway, the silicone ones are great. I bought these to replace an old one I got on that big auction site years ago. These ones are better because they offer fuller protection, i.e. it covers both 'sides' where keyrings go through. I also like that it has an opening for the BMW logo, unlike others that have a fake BMW logo atop the silicone. Only concern is if it will start accumulating dirt inside, given the hole. But overall, for the price, really cant beat these covers for an easy way to protect your keyfob (and provide some protection against accidental key presses in your pocket)
