I've never used an LH test kit before but the instruction manual that is included in the kit is very detailed and helpful and made it easy for me to start testing. It includes instructions for what to do if you have a malfunctioning test strip but so far all of the strips have worked perfectly! The app is easy to navigate and records the LH test data in an easy to read manner including the date, time, a picture of the test, and rates your LH level as "high," "low," or "peak," depending on your individual LH levels. It also takes a picture of the test for data recording and saves the picture for you to look back on yourself and compare. It even has a built in timer ability to make sure you don't forget to read the test after taking it. It also allows you to adjust the automated readings of the test if you think it is inaccurate. The app is free but does have paid options if you want to unlock certain features such as partner accounts to share data with someone else.
